Who’s The ‘Douchebag,’ Selena?

Posted: 10 Mar 2013 12:42 PM PDT

Is Selena Gomez's latest dance video a message for her ex Justin Bieber?

On Saturday, the Spring Breakers actress shared a YouTube video of her and her girlfriends dancing to Dustin Tavella's song "Everybody Knows (Your Boyfriend is a Douchebag)."

While Gomez fans wrap the weekend wondering if the video is a stab at the Biebs, one thing's for sure: the girl can dance.

"Me and my girls just doin what we do…dancin! haha…All fun! Big thanks to @DustinTavella for making  sick anthem! And to @ChaeLynne for her amazing choreography : )" Gomez wrote along with the video.

"Everybody Knows" comes some three months after the 20-year-old superstar shared a video of the same group dancing to BFF Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble."

Gomez is gearing up to attend the screening Spring Breakers at the 2013 SXSW festival this week. Over the weekend, the "Love You Like A Love Song" singer shared a personal snapshot from the plane.

Spring Breakers opens in New York and L.A. on Mar. 22, followed by a nationwide release on Mar. 29.

Check out the video, above of Selena Gomez dancing to "Everybody Knows." Then tell us: do you think this is a message for Justin Bieber?

Team Kyle or Team Evan?

Posted: 10 Mar 2013 01:43 PM PDT

Client List Brian Hallisay Jennifer Love Hewitt Colin Egglesfield

Fans are in for some provocative turns when The Client List returns to Lifetime for Season 2.

"Our goal was to push the envelope on everything. Just to amp it up a notch and I think we've done that," series star and executive producer Jennifer Love Hewitt tells Celebuzz.

"I mean it's a really jam-packed season," she continues. "There's some crazy stuff going on. There's danger. There's sex. There's love. There's temptation. There's indecent happenings. There's all kinds of things."

That just about sums up why fans tune in to the drama about a single mother and former beauty queen who takes a job at a "massage parlor," which serves up the, cough, happy endings to a select group of high powered men.

Hewitt dishes with CB! about some of the turns to come on Season 2.

1. Redemption for Kyle? Sunday's season premiere picks right up where the finale left off – the authorities have honed in on Riley (Hewitt) and shifty husband Kyle (Brian Hallisay). What happens after that we can't say. But, Hewitt spills that the result only makes it more difficult for Riley (and the viewers) to condemn her ex.

"I think that viewers will be surprised how much they might turn for Kyle," she tells us. "You'll find out why he was gone, what he was doing while he was gone, why he left. and whether or not you'll forgive him for that, and whether or not Riley wants to forgive him for that. And at the end of the day, she's married. And he's the father of her kids."

2. That doesn't mean Evan (Colin Egglesfield) is out for the count. It's certainly tough being in love with brothers. So, just because Kyle is back and needs her, that doesn't mean her feelings for Evan evaporate.

"She loves Evan, so she really essentially loves two people and has to figure out what's going to be best for her in the long run," the 34-year-old says. "And I can't say who she's gonna choose, or if she'll choose either one of them, but it will definitely be a struggle for her. But there’s also knowing that she keeps the biggest secret possible from both of them and if they found out, where would she be?"

3. Time to service the female clients…Expect some equal opportunities on Season 2 as the list expands to high-powered women. "We also bring in a male masseuse this year for female happy endings, because women should get theirs too," Hewitt smiles.

4. The changing of the guard. Georgia (Loretta Devine) is back, everyone. For how long? Well, we can't say. But, her reappearance will signal big changes for her life and Riley's. "Georgia changes a lot," Hewitt shares. "She really becomes a mirror for Riley on what happens after this life, what you choose, what you run up against."

"As [Riley] gets caught in one life that turns into a million, Georgia's trying to take her million lies and turn them into the truth," she goes on to say. "So, they'll both be in really interesting positions. Georgia will always be there to help Riley with the list but she won't be as involved this year with the spa itself, which leaves more responsibility on Riley's shoulders."

The Client List returns for Season 2 on Sunday at 9PM on Lifetime.

Do you think you can become Team Kyle? What else excites you about what's coming up on Season 2?

‘Oz’ Tops Weekend Box Office With $80.3M

Posted: 10 Mar 2013 11:37 AM PDT

Oz The Great and Powerful was just that over the weekend, grossing some $80.3 million at the box office.

Overseas, the pre-Wizard of Oz 3D picture made an additional $69.9 million, bringing its total to $150.2 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film, directed by Sam Raimi and starring James Franco as the man who became the wizard, beat out last week's box office winner Jack the Giant Slayer and the train that just keeps on chugging along, Identity Thief.

Besides Oz, the week's other newcomer Dead Man Down, starring Colin Farrell and the original Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Noomi Rapace, placed fourth, grossing a mere $5.4 million.

Rounding out the top five is the crime drama Snitch, starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The film, which has received mostly negative reviews, made just over $5 million in domestic ticket sales.

Meanwhile, Silver Linings Playbook grossed another $3.7 million, bringing its grand total to $120.7 million.

The box office will soon get crowded with a handful of buzz worthy films: Halle Berry's new thriller The Call, Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens' Spring Breakers and the new comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, starring Steve Carell, Jim Carrey and Olivia Wilde.

What did you watch at the movies this weekend?

Should Michael Vick Be Allowed To Have A New Dog?

Posted: 10 Mar 2013 10:58 AM PDT

Michael Vick, the NFL player who served 19 months in prison for running a dog fighting ring back in 2007, is back in the headlines again.

TMZ reports that Vick was spotted at dog training classes with his new pooch.

Should Vick be allowed to have a dog, and will he get himself into trouble again?

"From a legal perspective, when Vick was released from prison, they gave him probation, and he couldn't have a dog," according to Ryan Smith of HLN’s Evening Express. When that probation expired in May of last year, however, "he was free to get whatever he wanted."

Vick's new dog is a Belgian Malinois, known for their fighting potential and frequently used by military and police personnel.

Vick has defended his dog ownership, saying that this will help his rehabilitation, and that his kids wanted a puppy.

Once "you kill a dog, you don't get to own another dog," argues Smith. "The law lets him have one but, in this case, our laws need to change."

Catch Ryan Smith on Evening Express every weeknight at 5PM ET on HLN.

Do you think Michael Vick deserves to have another dog? Weigh in with your comments below.

Look: Blake Supports Her Guy At ‘The Croods’ Premiere

Posted: 10 Mar 2013 10:47 AM PDT

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got friendly with a giant sloth on Sunday afternoon. While they hit the red carpet separately, the couple was all smiles for the New York premiere of Reynolds' new animated film The Croods.

His co-stars Emma Stone, Nicolas Cage and Catherine Keener were also on hand for the red carpet affair at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 theater.

The Croods tells the story of a caveman (Cage) who struggles to cope with his surroundings after an earthquake ruins the only home he's known. Reynolds plays Guy, a cave boy who has a sloth named Belt as a BFF.

Lively, 25, wore a gorgeous maroon Marios Schwab dress with white pumps while her husband of nearly six months kept things casual in a navy blue sweater and pinstripe pants.

Reynolds and Stone recently stopped by The Today Show to talk about the film and what it was like to record for their characters.

"What other kind of showbiz job do you get to roll out of bed in a muumuu and a scrunchie and jump in a booth and just have fun?" he said.

The Croods opens in theaters Mar. 27.

6 Things To Expect From ‘The Walking Dead’

Posted: 10 Mar 2013 12:09 PM PDT

PaleyFest Walking Dead Cast Chris Hardwick

Love, redemption and coming of age. Those were just a few of the things that the cast and producers of AMC’s The Walking Dead teased during the red carpet for its recent PaleyFest 2013 appearance at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.

Here are six things to expect from the AMC series.

1.) There’s no place like home. But really, no place will ever be as comfortable as the homes that our favorite characters have left behind. Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd told CB!, “They’re going to find that there is no such thing as a safe haven.” With the war approaching we might see the group at the prison back on the road and searching for refuge again.

2.) Zombies can’t kill love. This is especially true for Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan). Yeun didn’t hesitate to defend the couple. “I think you can’t keep a love like that down,” he told us. “Right now it’s kind of set on this place of ego, selfishness and pride, but we’ll see what happens.” Hopefully the couple who kicks butt together, stays together.

3.) Rick’s second wind. Now that the Rick-tatorship is falling down around, our troubled leader, played by Andrew Lincoln, said fans will see him come back to his senses. You probably cried when Rick’s own son suggested he step down as leader of the group, but Lincoln looks at the moment as an opportunity. “I think that it’s definitely jumpstarted Rick, not into considering the leadership, but to start getting his faculties together and really leading the group again,” Lincoln said.

4.) It’s not all black and white. You might think that the Governor (David Morrissey) is evil, but comic book creator and executive producer Robert Kirkman would disagree. “I think all the characters have good and bad and evil in them,” Kirkman said. “There’s something in [the Governor] that I think is good.”

5.) Keep an eye on Carl. The zombie apocalypse has hardened Carl (Chandler Riggs). The boy, who probably would have been just a normal kid if zombies hadn’t happened, has been through some pretty tough times on Season 2 and 3. And Kirkman told us that Carl’s story doesn’t stop at shooting his mom and being scarily good at handling a gun. “We’re going to go to some really exciting places with this kid,” Kirkman teased. “This season is really just the beginning.”

6.) Love is in the air. Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) obviously share a special bond with each other. And while fans are waiting to see what happens between them, Reedus is having fun with their current situation. “I think that when a boy meets a girl, it’s really awkward,” he told CB. “And I think playing the awkward part of it is more interesting than making love against a tree.” Could he be foreshadowing?

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9PM on AMC.

Rihanna Cancels Boston Concert Due To Laryngitis

Look: Harry’s Butterfly Effect

Posted: 10 Mar 2013 09:35 AM PDT

Rihanna's not the only musician with wings on her ribcage.

It looks like Harry Styles believes he can fly too. According to tattoo artist Lyam Sparkes' Flickr page, the One Direction heartthrob paid a visit to his shop on or around January 22.

While Styles' face cannot be seen, several signs point to the fact that the butterfly design belongs to the 19-year-old: the ship tattoo he got when he was dating Taylor Swift, his heart tattoo on his left arm, his third and fourth nipples, to name a few.

Last time Celebuzz checked, Styles' tattoo count was hovering around 25, a collection that includes a pair of swallows on his collarbone, the words "Might as well…" on his left hip, the abbreviations "LA, LDN and NY" on his left arm, "Things I can" on his right arm, and a birdcage on his left rib cage.

Styles and the boys have been busy on the road for their 2013 Take Me Home Tour. The "Kiss You" crooners will play their third of four shows in Belfast on Sunday, followed by a slew of dates in cities that include Manchester, Paris, Copenhagen and Lisbon.

The North American leg of the tour will kick off on with two shows in Mexico City, Mexico on June 8.

What do you think of Harry Styles' latest tattoo? Weigh in below.

Lady In Polka Dot Red (PHOTOS)

Posted: 10 Mar 2013 09:02 AM PDT

Springtime is here!

At least, according to Eva Mendes' stylish polka dot black and red dress donned over the weekend in New York City.

The 39-year-old actress finished off her look with a black belt, leggings, and brown boots, while a coat was nowhere to be seen.

Mendes, who recently flew into the Big Apple from the west coast, is gearing up for the release of her new crime thriller, The Place Beyond the Pines, opposite her real life beau Ryan Gosling.

The film, directed by Derek Cianfrance, who also directed Gosling in Blue Valentine, tells the story of a motorcycle-loving racer who commits a series of crimes in an effort to provide for his family.

Bradley Cooper, Rose Byrne and Ray Liotta also star in the film.

Last month, it was announced that Mendes, will appear in How to Catch a Monster, a fantasy film written by Gosling. The picture will also mark the Canadian actor's directorial debut.

The Place Beyond the Pines opens in theaters Mar. 29.

Welcome To The Club, JT

Posted: 10 Mar 2013 11:45 AM PDT

Steve Martin always thought that if an NSYNC member would make the club, it would be Joey Fatone.

That's what the Saturday Night Live alum declared during this week's opening monologue, as a bevy of past hosts and players greeted Justin Timberlake into his fifth appearance on the NBC show.

But beyond the fancy smoking jacket, things haven't worked out that well for all SNL graduates. Dan Ackroyd is now a bartender (order the Kristen Wiig), Chevy Chase orders Rolls Royces on the phone (and bills them to Martin), and Alec Baldwin and Tom Hanks are into man fights these days (think of the scene where Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio meet for the first time in Django Unchained).

Fellow member Candice Bergen also makes an appearance in the monologue: she wants the toilet seat up.

Timberlake's fifth SNL stint (his third as both host and musical guest) was packed with other oldies but goodies, courtesy of Andy Samberg, the "Vegan Shake" and Martin and Ackroyd's classic Festrunk Brothers.

In a matchmaker skit hosted by Bill Hader, a bachelorette (Vanessa Bayer) looks for love from potential suitors she can't see. Timberlake and Samberg reprise their roles as the sideburn, "mother-loving,” “D**k in a Box” duo, competing against a single Bobby Moynihan and a nostalgia-heavy appearance by the Festrunk Brothers from Czechoslovakia.

Another JT oldie came by way of a new joint in town, Vegan Ville. Timberlake competes (and wins, by a landslide) against Moynihan's meat establishment with some help from a tofu costume and sick beats.

Following an assortment of close-ups, the tofu starts off the "Vegan Shake." Please let this gem be the final "Harlem Shake" tribute.

JT's evening came with mostly hits, including solid musical performances of "Suit & Tie" and a shortened version of "Mirrors." His upcoming tour mate also dropped by. During the second verse, Timberlake slightly changed the lyrics to, “My hit’s so sick got rappers acting dramatic,” a sentence many believe is a jab at Kanye West (who dissed the track at a London concert back in February).

Hader's Stefon finally returned to "Weekend Update With Seth Meyers" to suggest good clubs for spring break, JT put on his Elton John face and delivered a "Candle In The Wind" inspired tribute for Hugo Chavez in the cold opening and the Three Amigos made a blink-and-you'll-miss appearance when they introduced Timberlake's second musical performance.

Melissa McCarthy will host SNL on Apr. 6, with musical guest Phoenix.

Play On: It’s Carrie Underwood’s Birthday

Posted: 10 Mar 2013 11:46 AM PDT

Carrie Underwood is hitting a milestone on Sunday: the six-time Grammy winner is turning the big 3-0. And while she continues her meteoric rise to fame, we hope she takes the time out of her current “Blown Away” tour to, well, blow out 30 candles.

Underwood rose to fame shortly after becoming the Season 4 winner of American Idol in 2005. Since then, she’s sold 15 million albums worldwide plus notched plenty of #1 singles. Among her biggest hits: “Some Hearts,” “Before He Cheats,” “Carnival Ride” and “Undo It.”

But the Oklahoma native's focus wasn't always on singing.

Underwood graduated from Checotah High School in 2001 and went on to Northern State University, chasing a degree in mass communications. But the detour was short-lived: she auditioned for Idol in the summer of 2004 and soon found fame.

She also found love: Underwood and her hockey player beau, Mike Fisher, tied the knot in 2010.  The two shared an intimate day before family and friends, Southern-style, at the Ritz Carlton in Georgia.

Now, to celebrate the country sweetheart’s birthday, we’re looking back at her very best red-carpet moments. Click through the gallery to see them — then be sure to tell us which is your favorite.

A Real Housewife Gets Fit For A Good Cause

Posted: 09 Mar 2013 09:17 PM PST

Teresa Giudice is opening up her heart — and flexing her muscles — for a good cause.

On Sunday, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star will host a fundraiser and workout session in Fairfield, NJ all in the name of the NephCure Foundation, a charity the 40-year-old has supported since competing on the fifth season of Celebrity Apprentice.

Giudice recently spoke to Celebuzz about NephCure and Matthew Levine, the young boy whose kidney disease has inspired the TV star to lend a helping hand.

"I have four daughters and I could never imagine what Matthew, his mother Dana and sister Sydney go through everyday," she said. "This is why I have chosen to help the NephCure Foundation. I will go anywhere at anytime to raise awareness and funds to help find a cure for Matthew and others with FSGS [focal segmental glomerulosclerosis] and nephrotic syndrome. I want to help find a cure for these two devastating kidney diseases that destroy kidney's lives and families in its path."

Sunday's event, held at the Get Fit Health and Fitness Center, will start with a meet and greet with Giudice at 10 AM, followed by a 90-minute workout session with the star and her trainer Nicole Greco Peepas.

"After I met Matthew and his family I knew I wanted to help . . . when Celebrity Apprentice asked me on the show I knew that anything I could get would go to help him," Giudice said.

Although she was fired in task 13, Giudice donated her earnings of $70,000 to NephCure.

"I'm asking all my family, friends, and fans to please come out and support a great cause to help Matthew. You can get fit, have fun and donate to help such a special little boy."

For more information, check out the NephCure Foundation website.

Bills, Bills, Bills

Posted: 09 Mar 2013 04:48 PM PST

Cheeky, cheeky.

With just a couple more weeks to go before Spring Breakers hits theaters, the film has unleashed new promo stills to whet the appetites of patient fans.

In one image, Selena Gomez gives her co-star Vanessa Hudgens and friendly pat as the girls pose in colorful bikinis. In another, Hudgens strips down to a baby blue bra as she frolics with some cold hard cash on a bed.

The film, also starring James Franco, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine, has been quite the talk of the town since premiering in Paris, France in February. Spring Breakers will open in limited release in New York and Los Angeles after screening at the 2013 SXSW festival this week.

"Ever since I was young, I wanted to play really heavy and intense roles and really push myself in a dramatic direction," Hudgens, 24, recently told Paper magazine.

The High School Musical alum plays one of four college girls who decide to rob a fast food joint to pay for their spring break in the appropriately titled Spring Breakers.

"It's always been hard for actors to cross that bridge," Hudgens said of her tween-filled past. "But honestly, you have to hold out and do what you think is right for yourself."

Spring Breakers opens everywhere on Mar. 29.

Are you looking forward to Spring Breakers? Tell us what you think of the film so far in the comments below.

"Come on, this is going to be fun."

Star Trek and J.J. Abrams fans: feast your eyes on this brand new teaser trailer (that's anything but a teaser).

For some 77 seconds, Chris Pine and company pack some serious action, as viewers get a better look at Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana and Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the film's villain.

Pine's Captain Kirk is as feisty as ever, as he bumps heads with his crew (Spock, Sulu, and the like) to track down the new fugitive.

Star Trek Into Darkness is Abrams' last project before embarking on Star Wars: Episode VII.

The new teaser, attached to Oz The Great and Powerful, which opened on Friday, comes some three months after Paramount introduced Into Darkness with a scary voiceover (Benedict) that threatens to have his "vengeance."

Star Trek Into Darkness opens in theaters May 17.

Mindy Kaling On Her FOX Show, A Second Book And ‘The Office’ Finale

Posted: 09 Mar 2013 02:50 PM PST

Paleyfest 2013 Mindy Kaling

Surprisingly, the best quote from the panel discussion at the Paleyfest event for FOX’s breakout comedy hit, The Mindy Project, isn’t a joke. The show’s creator, executive producer, writer and star Mindy Kaling explains why she doesn’t get a lot of sleep:

“The thing is that when you’re literally living your life’s dream you don’t want to be sleeping,” she said during the show’s PaleyFest 2013 panel at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. “You want to be awake.”

And her life certainly does sound like a dream with her show being picked up for a second season, reprising her role for the finale of The Office and working on a second book, Kaling has a lot to look forward to.

The Mindy Project. Despite some not-so-stellar rating,  the medical comedy will be returning for its second season. The show stars Kaling, Chris Messina and Ed Weeks as the doctors of an OB/GYN practice in New York City. With guest stars like Seth Rogen and, most recently announced, Chloe Sevigny the show is picking up steam in Hollywood. Ike Barinholtz, who plays Morgan on the show, told fans that Messina’s character pretends like he’s in charge when his ex-wife, played by Sevigny,  is around, but when they’re alone he breaks down.

“It’s so true with so many people in your life that you have this weird sexual chemistry with,” Barinholtz starts to get passionate, “It’s a chemical thing, it’s like a pheromone or something that you’re not yourself anymore-”

Kaling interrupts, “You’re getting too excited about this.” And the audience can’t help laughing at the chemistry that will carry on through the second season.

The Office. Kaling got her start as a writer for The Office and was then given the role of Dunder Mifflin’s customer service representative, Kelly Kapoor. And even though she left the hit show to create her own, she will be returning as Kelly on the show’s series finale. “I just read the pages,” said Kaling, “it’s an amazing episode.” But what did her co-star Barinholtz have to say about her return? “That’s great! Once you shoot it, let’s not talk about The Office anymore.”

The new book. After her debut as a writer with the book Is Everybody Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) fans were eagerly waiting for more. The good news? Kaling is already planning to work on her second book over the break between seasons. “This year has been crazy,” Kaling shares with the audience, “I’ve had the lowest lows and the highest highs this past, like, 16 months.” So be sure to clear a space on your bookshelf because, according to Kaling, the release is about a year-and-a-half away.

The Mindy Project airs Tuesdays on FOX at 9:30PM.
