Celebrity stylist Brad Goreski and his longtime partner Gary Janetti are moving on up, recently purchasing a 4,542 square foot home together for a cool $2.3335 million. Located in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, the lavish pad boasts four bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, plus plenty of luxury features fit for this stylish couple.
According to the listing, the two-story was originally erected in 1933 but was renovated with modern upgrades, including a glass loggia on the second floor overlooking the Los Angeles Country Club. High gloss ebony wood floors and crisp white walls are spread throughout the home, while the kitchen itself is decked out in white cabinetry and sleek stainless steel appliances with a center island cook top. The folks over at Opening Ceremony, an upscale, ultra-trendy New York-based boutique retailer, are curating an exhibit to celebrate the Grammy-winning singer’s daring style. The RIHtrospective exhibit will launch on March 5, the same day that the recording artist’s first fashion line Rihanna for River Island, will launch exclusively at Opening Ceremony’s New York and Japan stores, as well as online. The exhibit will showcase seven of Rihanna's most iconic looks — including the Adam Selman-designed pink lace mini dress designed that she wore while performing at 2012's Victoria's Secret Fashion Showin November. From her street-style on-stage get-ups to her red-carpet glam gowns, RIHtrospective — which was partially curated by the star herself — will highlight Rihanna’s sweeping tomboy-cum-couture style, according to Women’s Wear Daily. And it’s no coincidence that the showcase will spotlight seven outfits, as the number is quite significant to the “Diamonds” singer. Not only has she released seven albums in seven years, but she’s snagged seven Billboard awards, taken home seven Grammys, and landed seven Complex magazine covers. Then, of course, there was her her headline-hitting, globe-blazing “777″ tours, which boasted seven concerts, in seven countries, in just seven days in promoting of her latest release, Unapologetic. | Michael Lohan Named Host of ‘Cheaters’ Celebrity Spinoff Posted: 01 Mar 2013 12:59 PM PST  The producers behind the highly addictive reality television series, Cheaters, are taking the caught-in-the-act investigative show to a new level. Cheaters producers, Bobby Goldstein Productions, will turn its focus on Hollywood with a spinoff called Celebrity Cheaters. And Celebuzz has learned that it has tapped Lindsay Lohan's estranged father, Michael Lohan, to host the show. “You are going to see a whole new side of Michael Lohan," Bobby Goldstein confirms to CB!, "one the public will strongly support as Lohan courageously exposes the toxic nature of cheating celebrity relationships in Hollywood.” Michael may be able to provide his own insight into the show's cases as he recently had to defend himself against reports that he cheated and had a love child while married to Dina Lohan. We're told the production company is negotiating with cop-turned-celebrity private eye Bo Dietl for the lead investigator role on the new show. Dietl was a detective for the New York City Police Department and served as the Chairman of the New York State Security Guard Advisory Council under New York governors George Pataki and Eliot Spitzer. Apparently, several interested cable networks are already circling the project. Cheaters – currently hosted by Clark Gable III — is currently in its 14th season of syndication. | Cyndi Lauper On That Kelly Clarkson/Clive Davis Feud: Just Let Her Show Her True Colors Posted: 01 Mar 2013 11:53 AM PST Kelly Clarkson has something in common with pop legend Cyndi Lauper other than a super-human set of pipes: both have smacked down record company execs in an effort to record their self-penned songs. "I have fought for that for a long time," Lauper told Celebuzz Thursday at the open house for Kinky Boots, the upcoming Broadway show for which she wrote the music. "I fought for that on my first album."
Clarkson made headlines last month with what was basically our favorite feud of 2013 so far (here's hoping there are plenty more): when record mogul Clive Davis' new memoir said she refused to sing one of her biggest hits and was a big crybaby to boot, Clarkson cried foul. No, she shouted foul. "I refuse to be bullied, and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans," Clarkson wrote in an open letter. After taking more than a few swipes (and many of them were really awesome) at her former boss, Clarkson ended with, "I love my fans. I love my label and all of my professional relationships… now. And I am grateful for Clive for teaching me to know the difference." Yeah, our mouths are still on the floor too.
But despite Davis' illustrious career – he helmed the careers of Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick and many more — he never made sweet music with Lauper. Perhaps because girlfriend knew better. "Clive would never really work with me because we…" Lauper began, before apparently deciding that some things are better left unsaid. She finished, simply with, "It would never happen." *Finger snap* That doesn't mean Lauper didn't feel Clarkson's pain. "My heart went out to her," she said. So what advice would the seasoned pro – she has a handful of now-classic hits, tons of industry respect, plus that brand-new musical — give to 30-year-old Clarkson? "Me?" Lauper shrieked in her famously New Yawk accent. "She knows what she’s doing — she don’t need my advice."
Clarkson isn't the only diva on Lauper's mind: the girl who just wants to have fun also revealed that she'd be up for a duet with Lady Gaga. “Sure, why not?" she said when asked if she'd hit the recording studio with Mother Monster. "I love other artists. I think that she's pretty great. She also has a very strong pop sensibility." Lauper's Kinky Boots — about a young man who tries to save his family's shoe factory by catering to drag queens – officially opens at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on April 4. After speculation surfaced that the buff soccer star had used a body double — particularly one that had quite the big, um, package — in H&M’s new Guy Ritchie-directed underwear commercial, Beckham took it upon himself to deny the reports. “No, I can say the crotch is mine and the backside is mine as well,” the 37-year-old said on French TV show Le Grand Journal Thursday night. “I heard this the other day. Someone said that I had a stand-in for my bum, but no, I can confirm that’s my bum.”
H&M also issued a statement clarifying that the double was used in “smaller parts of the video” due to Beckham’s “tight schedule.” If that’s not enough proof, Beckham was also snapped on said set in October of last year, filming in the bushes in nothing but his now-infamous green skivvies. "No… really?," asked Jerry Mitchell, who directed Madison in the Las Vegas revue Peepshow until she announced her pregnancy last October. Yes, Jerry. Really. "Is this the new thing?" he continued. "Well, there you go." Madison announced her afterbirth plans just this week on her Celebuzz blog. "This might sound gross, but I'm totally planning on having my placenta turned into pills I can take after giving birth,” she wrote. "I heard it helps women recover faster and I want to recover as quickly as I can!” Despite his surprise at Holly's declaration, the man who created, directed and choreographed Peepshow was certain in his praise for the former Girl Next Door. "Holly was sensational, and she was an amazing asset to Peepshow," he told Celebuzz. "I'll do anything with [her.]" But with Madison officially on maternity leave, there's a new star on the strip (so to speak): Coco Austin, who took over Peepshow's starring role in December. What does Mitchell think of Ice-T's famously voluptuous other half? "It was quite a shock and surprise – I didn't know Coco could dance a step," he said. "And I came into the room one day and she did a pirouette and landed in a split, and I went, ‘That's going in the show.’" Kind of worth the price of admission, right? | Artist Goes Through Bieber’s Trash To Make ‘Masterpiece’ Posted: 28 Feb 2013 03:44 PM PST  Justin Bieber‘s trash is another man's treasure. An underground L.A.-based artist, named XVALA, has rummaged through the rubbish of the 18-year-old pop star to create a bizarre sculpture, titled ‘Justin Bieber's Banana Split: A Momento For Celebrity Exes’ — an homage to his January split from girlfriend Selena Gomez. The item — made entirely of chocolate and a brown banana in a hot dog bun, said to be from Bieber’s trash — is on display in downtown Los Angeles in the Brewery Arts District. According to a spokesperson for the artist, it’s a “masterpiece.” "It's basically about acknowledging how the Internet has changed our lifestyle and how relevant trash really is," the artist's rep Cory Allen told Celebuzz. "Celebrities seem so far from our reach, but trash is the raw content and says so much about a person that's often overlooked. "With Justin Bieber, he wanted to acknowledge how we look at love in the typical forms — with candy, flowers, cards, jewelry — and he wanted to show how the public perceives love, but also how we're wrapped up in other people's lives. That fascination has always been there. This is not the first work of ‘art’ from XVALA.
According to Allen's website, the anonymous XVALA's "street works, paintings, sculptures, drawings, and Internet ideas point to society’s growing inability to disconnect from the Internet." One of his most controversial contemporary works entitled “Mark Zuckerberg's Not Very Well Hung Hanger.”
It’s simply made out of a wire hanger that has been bent and twisted to look like a phallic symbol. Like Bieber, he found it in the Facebook CEO’s trash.
Other celebs who had their trash pilfered by XVALA include Robert Downey Jr., Lindsay Lohan and Taylor Swift. He used the celebrities’ discards for his series of paintings, “The Tonight Show with Celebrity Chimp,” in which he used their crushed glassware to form a powder to create this painting, below.
Even Jay Leno‘s The Tonight Show invited XVALA to showcase his work; the NBC late-night show used him to create a backdrop for their music performances.
It wouldn’t be Hollywood and art without Kim Kardashian, however.
A deflated basketball once owned by the E! star was morphed into a purse-like object for an exhibit called “Slammed and Dunked.” Has there been reaction from Bieber? "There's been no word from him yet," Allen said, noting he didn’t think the "banana split" was offensive. "In our society we're plagued with reality TV and gossip and relationships,” he added. “It's all about the idea of constant bickering on reality shows and gossip, which is also what goes into relationships. Some stars can’t stand it — from those who have spoken out against the practice that pervades Hollywood, to others who have requested no retouching during photo shoots. But now one of the industry’s newest ‘It’ girl is wholly embracing such touch-up tactics. “Oh my god, I haven’t seen this. That doesn’t look like me at all,” Jennifer Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight upon seeing her gorgeously-glam Miss Dior ad campaign for the first time. “Of course it’s Photoshop. People don’t look like that.” In the black-and-white shots by Willy Vanderperre, the actress is flawless: her skin looks impeccably smooth, her neck is long and slim, and her waist is almost as slim as Barbie’s. But she has no problem looking perfect in print. “I love Photoshop more than anything in the world,” gushed Lawrence, who is on top of the world after snagging the Best Actress Oscar for her highly-acclaimed turn in Silver Linings Playbook at the 2013 award show. Off the page, though, Lawrence is loved for her realness. From her candor on press cameras, to her openly shunning Hollywood’s skinny standards, to her famous fall at this year’s Academy Awards, Lawrence’s likability is through the roof. That’s why ever since she split from her beau of two years, X-Men: First Class costar Nicholas Hoult, in January, the world has waited with baited breath for the star to land a new suitor. | Look: Biebs’ (Almost) Birthday Suit Posted: 01 Mar 2013 01:35 PM PST  No shirt, no problem. Though it was the eve of his turning the big 1-9, Justin Bieber got the party started early. After taking the stage in Birmingham, U.K., as part of his Believe tour, the teen pop phenom braved the brisk temps to go shirtless — showing off his slightly, though notably, bulkier build — as he arrived back at his London hotel late Thursday evening. “Great show!!! Now gonna go celebrate 19!! Thanks,” he tweeted. And celebrate he did. After changing into low-slung leather pants, a cream-colored sweater and a Brooklyn Nets cap, Bieber hit the town, starting the night out at members-only after-hours club, British Luxury Club, where he was spotted letting loose just over a week ago. But he wasn’t flying solo. Not only was the “Beauty and a Beat” singer’s rumored ladylove, EllaPaige Roberts-Clarke, at his side, but Bieber was also joined by a bevy of young beauties inside the ultra-exclusive hotspot. In the wee hours of Friday morning, Bieber and his party pals kept the revelry rolling on London’s Edgware Road, where they gang gobbled down kebabs in a Lebanese eatery before Bieber headed back to his hotel for some shut-eye. The wild night out was just the pre-party, as Bieber reportedly plans to ring in his 19th birthday with a circus-themed blowout, complete with kitschy clowns, acrobatics and a ringmaster. Though the locale has yet to be confirmed, the bash is rumored to be going down at Cirque du Soir club in London, where the teen idol was spotted — sporting some fresh new ink, his twelfth tattoo — just days ago. Now after being spotted at Bieber’s side third separate nights, it seems a safe bet that EllaPaige will be making an appearance at the birthday boy’s special soiree. | Posted: 01 Mar 2013 08:31 AM PST  Hollywood’s The Roxy is a relatively small venue, considering the caliber of music groups that it has housed in the past. However, the one-room lounge is… deceitfully small. It can hold a generous audience of around 200-300 people. So when a show sells out, it means that whatever act is playing there has a pretty loyal Southern California following. For FOX’s The X Factor alums and SYCO/Columbia Records artists, Emblem3, those 300 potential audience members couldn’t be more important. If previous X Factor UK alums, One Direction, are any indication, it’s entirely possible to make an outrageously successful career out of a failed stint on the show. Having said that, it was a smart move for Emblem3 to test out the live show waters in a manageable setting like The Roxy. As someone in attendance who didn’t know too much about the band (having not watched The X Factor), I was ready for these three guys to impress me. I had no negative connotations towards them, but also no reason to think highly of them either. So, this performance would pretty much dictate how I would feel about the band. As I walked past the long line of high heel-clad girls with “MARRY ME” signs waiting to get in (and the few that didn’t have tickets, but showed up anyway) the club doors opened with a rush of screams. A good sign for any up and coming band. After the opening band finished their set, the curtains closed so that Emblem3 could set up. As soon as the sounds of drums clattering and guitars being tuned were heard from behind the curtains, a shrill and quick scream from the hordes of girls immediately followed. The mere anticipation of the concert made the fans exasperated. Finally, the vibrations of the speakers began and the scattered crowd all pushed to the stage in a frenzied excitement. The curtains rose (to near-deafening screams echoing throughout) showing the silhouettes of three figures in baseball caps. The flourescent lights all went on in a triumphant flash and revealed each of the boys bright, excited faces. The already-loud screams turned into complete pandemonium, much to the boys delight. Along with the initial three members, the boys’ backing band consisted of two guitarists and a drummer of equally fresh-faced and attractive 20-somethings. The set consisted of mostly original songs, among a few covers by other male bands like One Republic and Sublime, for the “non-Emblems,” as their fans call themselves, in the crowd, I imagine. The guys clearly prepared for their first post-show performance by packing in the studio time to write the group of bouncy surf pop songs that they performed, seemingly without a hitch. That was impressive. The set had all of the sparkling three-part harmonies, pounding bass lines and acoustic guitar ballads that every pop concert can’t be complete without. Another good sign for Emblem3 – they know how to market themselves. Wesley Stromberg, 16, eventually asked the crowd, after returning to the stage for encores, “What street are we on, right now?” before they ended their performance with the song they auditioned for The X Factor with, aptly titled “Sunset Blvd.” And then it was over. The girls screamed before. The girls screamed during. And the girls screamed after. That’s what was the most memorable. Seeing a group of at least six teenage girls jumping up and down and screaming, “THEY LOOKED AT ME! THEY TOUCHED MY HAND! THEY SAW ME!” — 30 minutes after the concert ended. These days, boy bands are a dime a dozen, so it’s important to differentiate yourself from the pack. Emblem3 seemed to have a good grasp at this notion, because they did add elements to their performance and music that feels distinct from their genre-mates. The oldest member, Drew Chadwick, 20, who wore a tank top that perfectly outlined his tanned chest, mostly rapped. This was something I wasn’t expecting, but was pleasantly surprised at. The other two members, brothers Wesley and 16-year-old Keaton Stromberg, who had the “boy next door” thing going on, did the majority of the singing. When I think of the term “boy band,” I think of color-coordinated kids singing into mini mics. The guys in Emblem3 (whether it was conscious or not) tried to go against this stereotype. They were candid and casual with the crowd, and looked as relaxed and natural on stage as seasoned veterans. This isn’t a quality you get from practice, but a quality that you’re born with. All in all, the concert was a resounding success for the band, as well as the audience. The VIP section was peppered with music industry people including record execs, the guys’ managers, fellow musicians such as Jason Derulo and Benji Madden, along with fellow The X Factor contestants Fifth Harmony and Cece Frey all showing up for support. The concert was obviously a bit of an audition for all of the potential backers of Emblem3. A good faith payment of sorts. Judging by the (literally) insane response from the audience, it looks like the boys of Emblem3 are making good on their promises. There’s no denying that the boys of One Direction love getting inked, and Tomlinson just took to his Instagram account to proudly showing off his latest tat: a steaming cup of tea. “You can’t go to bed…” he wrote alongside the pic, referencing one of 1D’s hit songs. Can you guess which Take Me Home single served as Tomlinson’s ink inspiration?
The 21-year-old quoted 1D’s heartfelt ballad “Little Things,” which features the line: “You can’t go to bed without a cup of tea/Maybe that’s the reason you talk in your sleep.” The teacup is placed right above the word “Oops,” just one of the many designs etched on his arm, including a stick man, a bird and a compass. Just last week, Tomlinson teased his Twitter followers with a message hinting at his imminent return to the tattoo parlor. “‘More tattoos soon!” he shared. Since rising to fame in 2010, the British boy band haven’t hidden their obsession with body art, especially Harry Styles and Zayn Malik, who each have over 20 tats. “I want to fill my entire right arm up to my elbow. I've got loads of ideas,” Malik told We Love Pop magazine. One Direction kicked off their Take Me Home tour last week in London. They hit the road once again on March 1 in Cardiff, Wales. | Tori Spelling Writes Open Letter To Tabloid Amid Divorce Rumors Posted: 01 Mar 2013 05:37 AM PST  Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott are not in the middle of a $300 million dollar divorce, according to the former 90210 star herself. In a furious open letter published on her website Thursday, Spelling shot down Star’s cover story, citing her six-year-old son as the reason for speaking out. “My son Liam is turning 6 in a couple weeks,” Spelling, age, writes. “His proudest achievement so far in his young life is that he is learning to read. Until now, when that pride turned to sorrow thanks to Star magazine.” “He was able to read two things out loud, the word DIVORCE (which he proudly sounded out) and the caption above his picture which read ‘Who will get the kids?’” She continues. “He became terrified. I had to hurry him and his confused 4-year-old sister Stella out of the grocery store and into our car. By the time he was fastening himself into his car seat he was asking, ‘Why is someone getting us?? Where are you and Dad going?’ He was anxiously biting his lower lip and his big blue eyes were filled with tears.” “My heart sank. How would I explain to my children that what these 3 writers who have never even met us but who claim to know the ins and outs of our relationship and have proudly put their names on this article are flat out writing lies?”
In the March 11 cover story, Star alleges that McDermott had cheated on Spelling and taunted her about her weight. “You want to make inaccurate low blows at someone Star? Go for me! I can handle it. I always have. But don’t do it to a man that has done nothing but loved me and our children,” Spelling writes. “Next week they’ll be reporting about some other couple splitting or someone having a breakdown and this will ‘have passed,’” Spelling ultimately concludes. “And, Dean and I will continue to love each other and our babies and be grateful for the lives we have. I know that. But, our children should never have to bear witness to lies and fabrications that affect their lives so that a media outlet can make money. That will always be wrong!” Spelling and McDermott were married in 2006. They have four children together. |
