| JT and Jay-Z Suit Up With Tom Ford Posted: 29 Jan 2013 11:19 AM PST        They say that the suit makes the man, and whether or not that’s true, when you’re talking about a Tom Ford suit, it certainly makes the man stylish. The famed fashion designer has suited some of Hollywood’s best-dressed men, including Daniel Craig for all the James Bond flicks. So it’s no surprise that Justin Timberlake turned to Ford to help him suit up for the music video for his his new fashion-focused single “Suit & Tie,” which features rapper Jay-Z. And it looks like you’ll be seeing Ford’s “made-to-measure tailoring and accessories” throughout JT’s new album, “The 20/20 Experience,” WWD reports. “I adore Justin. He has innate style and enormous talent,” Ford told the WWD. “It has been such a pleasure and honor to work with him throughout the entire creative process.” If the three-piece suit and black two-piece tuxedo JT dons in the video for Suit & Tie as he sings, “As long as I’ve got my suit and tie/Imma leave it all on the floor tonight,” is any indication, you can expect the fashion from his new album to be setting trends on the red carpet.
Timberlake’s stylish single and recent collaboration with Ford, whose suits are synonymous with style, isn’t a huge surprise. Not only is Timberlake one of the red carpet’s most stylish men, but he’s also tried his hand at design. | ‘Girls’ Allison Williams Says Watching Her Sex Scenes With Her Family Makes ‘People Vomit’ Posted: 29 Jan 2013 01:28 PM PST  On Monday night’s Chelsea Lately, Girls star Allison Williams admitted that she’s watched every single sex scene she’s done on the show (and there have been quite a few) with her entire family — including her famous father, NBC anchor Brian Williams. The 25-year-old didn’t even shield them from her most-recent graphic encounter where William’s character, Marnie, had awkward sex with a gay man (Book of Mormon‘s Andrew Rannells), a scene that was so uncomfortable to watch that Chelsea Handler specifically asked about it.
Handler said, ”That’s weird. And it would be weirder to watch with your dad.” To which Williams bluntly replied, “Which I did.” Williams explained that she preps her family in advance for each scene, giving them the most technical explanation she can to prepare them and try to eliminate the “weirdness.” But even with all that prep work, her family still has trouble stomaching the scenes: “People are vomiting in their chairs,” she said. Well, hopefully that means that she’s doing her job well. The scenes are just that realistic. What do you think of the sex scenes in Girls? Are they too graphic? | They’re Back! Showtime Renews Its Sunday Night Lineup Posted: 29 Jan 2013 12:57 PM PST        How does a network figure out how many pilots it can green light for next season? Well, first they have firm up their inventory. That's what's going down for several TV networks as several renewal announcements are being given out on Tuesday. CBS is holding on to its entire daytime lineup. In addition to The Young and the Restless, expect another season of The Bold and the Beautiful, the ladies of The Talk and game shows The Price Is Right and Let's Make a Deal. [TVGuide.com] CBS' cable sister network, Showtime, was also making a clean sweep of renewals for its Sunday night lineup. Shameless gets a Season 4; House of Lies moves on to Season 3; and Californication will move on to its seventh season. All three series debuted on Jan. 13 to their biggest audiences ever and are averaging double-digit percentage increases over their previous seasons. [Showtime]True Blood's Alan Ball made the right decision when he decided to step down from his post as the showrunner for the hit vampire series in order to focus on his other projects, including Cinemax’s Banshee. The series, which stars Antony Starr as an ex-fugitive passing as a small town sheriff, has been renewed for a second season airing in 2014. The current 10-episode season airs Fridays at 10PM. [Cinemax] BBC America/BBC One has renewed Ripper, its dark series about the aftermath of the “Jack the Ripper" murders set in 1889. It stars Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn and Adam Rothenberg. Season 2 will consist of eight episodes to premiere in 2014. [BBC America] Ratings: The Following is gaining a following. The new FOX thriller starring Kevin Bacon is the only new drama this season to improve its numbers in Week 2. It also ranked No. 1 for Monday evening among the ad-coveted 18-49 audience. Bones, which led in to the new show, also saw an increase in its audience with 9.2 million viewers tuning in. NBC came in at No. 2 for the evening with The Biggest Loser and its new drama, Deception. [TVGuide.com] Warner Bros. TV and The CW are excited to announce that last week's episode of The Vampire Diaries took the top spot for social media activity. According to the announcement, "The Vampire Diaries fans threw a #TVDparty throughout social media last week, generating nearly 865,000 social interactions across Twitter, Facebook, GetGlue and Viggle according to Trendrr.TV, taking a bite out of former list topper American Idol and besting iconic hits such as The Simpsons, Family Guy and Glee." | Yoga Sure Is Working for Miley Cyrus (PHOTO) Posted: 29 Jan 2013 12:34 PM PST        Miley Cyrus knows the secrets to enjoying vacation: splurging and sweating. The 20-year-old singer shared a snapshot with celebrity stylist Jacqueline Rezak, showing off her toned tummy in a native-inspired tube top and denim cutoffs by Rad and Refined as she vacationed in Costa Rica last week. Judging from her tiny waist you would never be able to tell that Cyrus, like many of us, cheats her diet sometimes. But she’s able to maintain her slim figure by keeping up with her fitness routines, even while on a tropical vacation. “Tooooo. Muuuuch. Pizzzzzza. back on the health train tomorrow. #cheatnight,” Cyrus tweeted on Jan. 24, adding, “Ate to much pizza and French fries. Yoga and a swim in the a.m.” The yoga is paying off, but that’s not the only way Cyrus stays in shape.
Cyrus stays slender by typically adhering to a raw and gluten-free diet. “Back to raw tomorrow. Right after these birthday cake Oreos,” the fiancee of Liam Hemsworth tweeted on Jan. 27. She’s also a huge Pilates fan. Mari Winsor, the star's very own Pilates instructor, previously gave Celebuzz the insider scoops on Cyrus’ workout. The moves consists of exercising the waist, the glutes, the buttocks and the inner and outer thighs to ensure a maximum full-impact workout. | Here’s Why Rihanna’s Been Holed Up in the U.K. (VIDEO) Posted: 29 Jan 2013 11:20 AM PST  Ever since announcing that she would be working with British apparel brand River Island to create her first-ever fashion line last summer, Rihanna has been hard at work in preparation for its London Fashion Week debut. In a recently-released teaser video, the “Diamonds” diva gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at her design process. “Every time I saw something on a rack, there was something I wanted to do to change it, and so I thought that the only way I could do that is by designing the perfect thing for me,” she explained in the footage.
In the video, the 24-year-old is also seen directing co-designer Adam Selman to make the waistline on a pair of pants fit just like the ones she’s already wearing. “Mu style is definitely inspired by my mood,” she continued. “So this collection definitely has a range of different moods and attitudes because I’m assuming my fans will be the same way.”Rihanna added, “My collection — it’s casual, it’s chic, it’s flirty. I want it to be for all body types. I want all types of girls to really want to wear it and feel comfortable in it, but still feel edgy. | Surf’s Up: Hemsworth Brothers Go Shirtless in Costa Rica (PHOTOS) Posted: 29 Jan 2013 11:19 AM PST        It’s all about brotherly bonding for the Hemsworth brothers. Liam and Chris Hemsworth took a break from their busy schedules and escaped to Costa Rica last week, where they hit the waves and, not to mention, flaunted their sexy and fit physiques. The actors were also joined by their father Craig and older brother Luke, whom also caught a couple waves during their sunny beach outing. Donning a wet suit, Chris took off on his surf board first, riding a couple of intense waves. Meanwhile, Liam and the rest of the Hemsworth men trekked the beach before making their way into the ocean. Before their surfing session, Liam cuddled close with Miley Cyrus, who along with Chris’s wife Elsa Pataky, caught some rays during the family getaway. After their packing on the PDA, Liam and Miley jetted for a cooler climate, taking in the sights and sounds of Ottawa, Canada.The acting brothers’ vacation comes just in time before they get back to their grueling work lineup. Liam is currently filming his upcoming film Paranoia, while prepping for the November release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. As for Chris, he recently wrapped up production on the sequel to his 2011 blockbuster, Thor: The Dark World. |
| LC Says She Wants Kids — Eventually Posted: 29 Jan 2013 01:40 PM PST  Lauren Conrad definitely sees kids in her future — but that future is a ways away, according to the former MTV starlet. “I want kids, but not in the immediate future,” Conrad — who is dating former Something Corporate musician William Tell — told Lucky for its March 2013 cover story. “All of my friends in their early 30s who just started having kids say, ‘Give it a few years.’” In the meantime, Cornad, 26, says that she and Tell — who is now attending law school at USC — are keeping the focus on their careers.“Honestly, he studies all weekend and I’ve been working,” she said. “I’m renovating a condo, so I’ve been spending my weekends shopping for home stuff at flea markets.”
Conrad began dating Tell on Valentine’s Day in 2012. She says that while she enjoys his laid-back style (“He’s just a jeans and T-shirt guy, which I like”), her background in fashion design occasionally gets in the way of their relationship. And speaking of fashion, Conrad — who designs a contemporary line for Kohl’s — says she has no plans to hang up her designer heels anytime soon. On her radar: running her own bridal boutique. “A friend from high school recently reminded me my goal was to own a bridal boutique! I’d love to design bridal dresses,” she said. First comes babies, then comes marriage?Conrad got her first dose of fame as one of the original members of MTV’s reality series Laguna Beach. She transitioned to her own spinoff, The Hills, before conquering the worlds of fashion and publishing. |
| Will Jess and Nick Ever Get Together on ‘New Girl’? Posted: 29 Jan 2013 12:14 PM PST        So, will they or won’t they? Jake Johnson, who plays the endearing curmudgeon, Nick, loves the way FOX’s New Girl is playing out the possibility of a romance between his character and his adorkable roommate Jess (Zooey Deschanel). "I think what the writers are doing with Nick and Jess is very realistic," Johnson told Celebuzz. "That is, you know, who you have a crush on and if you're single and somebody else is single, you know, if there's a thought. You might not do anything about it, but you both know it's there." Johnson warns that things between Nick and Jess will get "really heavy" on the second half of the season. Timing will be everything. "A lot of people say 'will they or won't they' and I think it's way more of 'when will we try this,'" he explained."Will we be ready at the same time? Because I think both those characters know there is something to this, but neither of them knows what it is or if it will work so they're kind of like 'not now.' And they're waiting for that moment to say, 'Are you ready? Am I ready?' I think it's going to be a delicate balance to figure out when is right." While much of the attention on the first season paid to Jess and Max Greenfield's Schmidt, Nick has become something of a breakout character on the comedy's sophomore season. Johnson thinks the show's writers found Nick this year. "Sometimes in Season 1, I didn't know who Nick was," the 34-year-old said. "There would be an episode where I didn't fully get him and this year every episode I feel like he's Nick." Johnson says he usually agrees with his cranky alter-ego's sentiment even if he doesn't always agree with how Nick handles uncomfortable situations. "I'm not a big believer in positive thinking," he laughed."I don't like 'The Secret.' I don't like people going through knee surgery who are saying, 'Life is amazing.' You are stuck on your back. You're allowed to say, 'This is terrible.' And so I think that part of Nick I can relate to. I like that Nick says how he feels." The Chicago native said it was growing up in the city that houses the legendary Second City and gave Jim Belushi, Bill Murray and Chris Farley their start that made him a career in show business. "I really looked up to them and idolized those guys and wanted to act," he said. "And then I saw Cheers when I was [a kid] and I fell in love with it and I wanted to be on a TV show. Cheers was the show that my whole family watched together and we cared about it and we talked about it. TV was something my family loved." Johnson actually studied writing at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University and is currently writing a comedy pilot for FOX with director Max Winkler. "I feel like writing is more intellectual and thoughtful and you have to think about it. And I think acting is kind of more emotional and in the moment," he explained.These days, he always hears from people who think they are just like Nick but always add, "that's just between us." "Nick's not a nightmare. He just isn't the most flowery guy," Johnson said. "Here's the reality of Nick: We've got a small group of people who think they're like Nick, but we're strong." It’s hard to believe the former American Idol contestant, who appeared on the show back in 2009, turns 31 today, but we have no doubt the outrageous and outspoken singer will celebrate in style. A true original, Lambert’s wacky, out-of-the-box look is as much a part of his appeal as his music. | Can ‘Argo’ Still Win Best Picture Without a Best Director Nomination? Posted: 28 Jan 2013 03:17 PM PST  When the Oscar nominations were announced on Jan. 10 and Ben Affleck’s name wasn’t called in the category of Best Director, many thought that Argo’s chances of winning Best Picture were basically over; after all, in the Academy’s 84-year history, only three films won Best Picture without a directing nomination — Wings (1927/28); Grand Hotel (1931/32); and, decades later, Driving Miss Daisy (1989). But then, something strange happened. In the span of a single weekend, Argo, which tells the story of a CIA operative who helped rescue six Americans during the Iran hostage crisis, won two of the most coveted precursor awards: the Critics’ Choice and Golden Globe for Best Picture. It followed with victories at the Producers Guild of America and Screen Actors Guild Awards. Since 1995, the year in which SAG added an Ensemble category and the Broadcast Film Critics Association was founded, only five other movies have accomplished this feat — American Beauty, Chicago, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, No Country for Old Men and Slumdog Millionaire — each of which went on to win the Best Picture Oscar in their respective year. This puts Argo in a pretty good position heading into Friday’s Directors Guild of America award, where, at this point, Affleck should be heavily favored to win. (If he does pull it off, statistically Argo would become a lock to win Best Picture; American Beauty, Chicago, The Return of the King, No Country for Old Men and Slumdog Millionaire all won the DGA as well.) It doesn’t hurt that Affleck is well-respected and equally well-liked in the Hollywood community — not to mention the ultimate comeback story. In 2007, after starring in a series of bombs, he found new life behind the camera with Gone Baby Gone, an unexpected hit that earned money at the box office, rave reviews from critics and an Oscar nomination for its costar, Amy Ryan. He followed Gone Baby Gone with another Oscar-nominated hit, 2010′s The Town, and then, of course, Argo. Working even better in Argo’s favor are two things that Academy voters often find difficult to resist: 1.) it was directed by an actor, which the Academy loves (see: Robert Redford, Ron Howard, Clint Eastwood and many others); and 2.) it has that deadly — or, rather, winning — combination of being an uplifting, heroic American story with a lot of wink-wink, nudge-nudge jokes about the industry. Audiences can relate to Argo — but more importantly, so can Hollywood. It would also be a way to make up for Affleck’s snub, in some way; the actor is listed as a producer on the film, and would ultimately win an Oscar should Argo take the top prize, along with George Clooney and Grant Heslov.Of course, even with statistics on its side, Argo still has some hurdles to jump for it to actually win Best Picture. For one, it enters the final leg of the race as the fourth-most nominated movie, with seven. While an impressive total, it’s slightly behind Silver Linings Playbook, which has eight nominations, and further behind Lincoln and Life of Pi, which have 12 and 11 nominations, respectively. Although the most-nominated movies don’t always win, Argo’s nomination total, combined with Affleck’s snub, could suggest it wasn’t as beloved by the Academy as one might suggest. (And in which case, which of the remaining six nominations could it potentially win? Editing? Sound Mixing? It’s unclear.) There’s also the chance that 2012 could simply be 1995 all over again. That year had a similar incident, in which supposed frontrunner Apollo 13 nearly swept the precursors after its director, Ron Howard, was snubbed by the Academy, winning the Directors Guild, Producer Guild and Screen Actors Guild’s top prizes. It eventually lost to Braveheart at the Oscars, which was ironically helmed by another actor-turned-director, Mel Gibson. But with a little less than a month to go before the Oscars actually air (Feb. 24 on ABC), there’s no telling how things will actually shake out; and in a year in which the Academy has already proven to be anything but predictable (Quvenzhané Wallis, anyone?), it’s safe to say that the Best Picture Oscar could go to any one of the nine nominated movies — even Amour. (Okay, maybe not.)For now, though, it’s looking more and more like that Argo could actually go all the way. |

In the wake of their late-night Sunday scuffle in the Los Angeles-area, the Grammy-nominated singer wants to press charges against Chris Brown, authorities told Reuters. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said Ocean “is desirous of prosecution in this incident,” which could prose a problem for Brown’s five-year probation stemming from his 2009 assault of on-and-off girlfriend Rihanna. With still one year left to serve, the Grammy-winning singer could risk having his probation revoked should charges be filed. But Breezy isn’t going down without a fight. The R&B singer wants to tell his side of the scuffle in an effort to clear his name in the controversy, according to TMZ. In fact, Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos, has already contacted authorities to assist with the investigation, both offering Brown’s blow-by-blow account of the altercation and a surveillance video that his team claims would exonerate Brown. While the clip captures the tail end of the tussle, it shows neither Brown nor Ocean throwing a punch; instead, just their crews get physical.The brawl started on Sunday night, when sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of six men fighting in the parking lot at the Westlake Recording Studio in West Hollywood, Calif. According to a witness who spoke with authorities, the brief bout broke out when Brown, 23, punched Ocean, 25. An investigation is currently underway. While neither party has issued a statement about the scuffle, both seemed to address the altercation on social media. Following the fray, Ocean took to Twitter: "got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol," the Odd Future artist wrote, adding he wishes Everett, his Bernese mountain dog, had been by his side. "cut my finger now I can't play w two hands at the grammys." Then Brown — who considers himself an artist as much as a singer and dancer — posted an Instagram photo that’s worth a thousand words: Jesus crucified on the cross along with the telling caption, “Painting the way I feel today.”This isn't the first time Brown — who is still on probation for the 2009 assault on his then-girlfriend Rihanna — has exchanged blows with Ocean. On Twitter last summer, Brown compared Ocean to "a young James Fauntleroy or Kevin Cossum," triggering the "Thinkin' Bout You" singer to bite back by equating Brown to "a young sisqo or ike turner" and explaining he "don't like underhanded comments." Public records filed with the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety reveal the superstar New England quarterback has built his own mini-training facility to ensure he remains in shape when away from the Patriots’ Foxborough home base in Massachusetts. The pièce de résistance is an outdoor salt water plunge pool built into the balcony off the couple’s main bedroom. The 22,000-square-foot estate also has a second floor home gymnasium with both a cardio area and a separate weights room, according to blueprints filed with local government and viewed by Celebuzz.The couple bought the $11 million property in 2008 and have spent millions more building it out. It’s a home fit for a family valued at more than $90 million, as you’d expect.
The couple’s three children — Benjamin, 3 and Vivian, who was born in December, along with John, 5, who is Brady’s child from a previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan — have indoor and outdoor play areas, complete with swings and a slide. Others perks of being a top-paid Patriot include a cigar room, wine cellar, an oak paneled library and a living area with two giant television screens. Inside the master bedroom, Brady, 35, and Bündchen, 32, have matching his and her walk-in closets, plus a huge marble hot tub. Vivian’s nursery is directly across from her parents’ bedroom and she has her very own bathroom and outdoor terrace, the plans revealed. There are two garages and a resort-style lagoon swimming pool in the back yard with outdoor dining area that can be covered should it ever rain. The eight-bedroom home is spread over two wings that are connected by a covered bridge. There’s even a butler’s quarters and a service kitchen — all in case the couple decide to throw a lavish party. To help with that, the dining room has terraces on either side and a covered Loggia. The property has a sweeping driveway where guests have to cross a bridge before entering the oval shaped stone cobbled front courtyard that contains an ornate fountain directly outside the front door.The couple purchased the property in 2008 before they married in February of 2009. “We are excited to be using solar power as the main source of electricity in our home,” Bündchen told PEOPLE of the home, which she said has eco-friendly water supply and heating and cooling systems. “We are planting our own herbs, fruits and vegetables, which will be my favorite part of the house.” And this is about as close you will get to the mega-mansion; the couple has installed security fencing and cameras to keep-out any unwanted guests. |

| Amy Poehler to Write First Book Posted: 29 Jan 2013 05:42 AM PST  In what will likely go down as the ultimate companion piece to Tina Fey’s Bossypants, Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler will write her first book for publisher It Books, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Monday. According to the publisher, the book will be “an illustrated, non-linear diary full of humor and honesty and brimming with true stories, fictional anecdotes and life lessons.” No word on how much the deal is worth (aka, we have no idea if it was anywhere near as much as Lena Dunham‘s reported $3.7 million deal in 2012); however, It Books did say it will hit shelves sometime in 2014. “[I was] blown away by [Poehler's] creativity and her passion,” publisher Carrie Thornton said in the release on Monday. Given the recent success of many female comedians-turned-authors, Poehler’s book should be a huge sell for audiences; already, pal Fey’s book has sold over 2 million copies since it was released in January 2012. Poehler currently stars on the hit NBC comedy Parks and Recreation, for which she received Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Nominations this year. She also hosted the Golden Globes on Jan. 13, alongside Fey. Parks and Recreation airs Thursday nights on NBC. |

My "tramp stamp"…yea yea everybody has their first tattoo and mine of course was on my lower back. They're angel wings with my last name Polizzi written in them to represent my strong bond with my parents. Now I realize once I get married I will be a Lavalle, but i think that's fine because when I look at my wings i think of my parents and my childhood growing up, so it's all good.
