Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters is being released this weekend, transforming the classic fairy tale into action-packed adventure. The film follows in the footsteps of such projects as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which found America’s 14th president battling bloodsuckers — and not the ones in Congress! — and falls in line with a spate of projects, including a long-discussed adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which turns classic literature, or even the stuff of history, into thrill rides for popcorn-munchers around the globe.

All of which led us to wonder — which of our favorite childhood stories could also be made into big-budget, high-concept hits? We flipped through a few of the yarns we loved as children and set our imaginations to work.

Unhindered by budgetary limitations or other such obstacles, we came up with seven stories that might make interesting moviegoing fodder, and included a shortlist of directors and stars who might be best-suited to bring them to life.

Click here to launch Celebuzz’ gallery of Fairy Tales Transformed Into Kick-Ass Films

Take a look at our choices and let us know whether or not you think our choices for story, star and director are right. And underneath the Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters trailer in the comments section below, let us know: which fairy tale would you most like to see turned into a big-screen adventure?

10 Reasons Celebuzz Loved Live-Blogging ‘Anderson Live’

Posted: 24 Jan 2013 01:07 PM PST

Anderson Cooper

Ring, ring.

“Hello,” a man says. “This is Anderson Cooper‘s car service.”

Well, that makes my 5:45 a.m. wake-up call worth it. It’s still before dawn, but I’m dressed and dolled up — underneath my three layers of winter wear, of course — ready to be whisked off by my awaiting town car to Anderson Live! There, I will be live tweeting today’s episode from the studio audience as the show’s “Blogger of the Day.”

By 7 a.m., I’m watching CBS morning shows in my own private dressing room — still a world away from the spacious, wardrobe-packed rooms that greet Anderson Cooper and his star guests. But I’m beyond content with my cushy seating, mini water bottles, coffee and plate of pastries.

After secretly snapping a few framed photos of Anderson with past interviewees (think Janet Jackson, Debra Messing and  Judi Dench), I’m escorted down a seemingly endless hall to hair and makeup. Blabbing and beautifying ensues before I leave feeling like the belle of the ball with carefully coiffed bouncy waves and camera-ready makeup.

A pit stop in my dressing room — for one final caffeine jolt and to collect my MacBook Air — then it’s off to the studio. As I’m ushered to my assigned seat, comedienne Dena Blizzard, better known as One Funny Mother, is warming up the crowd with some wisecracks. Producers prep the crowd, a friendly fella slaps a Celebuzz sticker on my laptop, and then it’s a countdown to the man of the hour.

A standing ovation welcomes Anderson and his returning guest host, Rosie Perez. And we’re off with the First 15, tackling the American Idol feud, the bone-chilling temperatures across the country, and even heavy topics like the Pentagon lifting a ban on women in combat. The remainder of the episode delves into the risk of online profiles, hearing first-hand the experiences of Diane O'Meara, the real-life woman who became the face of the Manti Te'o hoax, and Alicia Kozakiewicz, who was abducted by a stranger she encountered on the Internet. And it all wraps up with a healthy dose of hotness: guest Liam McIntyre of Spartacus: Vengeance fame.

If you missed my live-tweeting from this morning, here’s my top 10 highlights from my morning with the Silver Fox:

1. Is Anderson as nice as they say?
“Better than that,” insists my Romantique Limos morning driver, who dropped me at CBS studios before the sun even nudged above the New York City skyline. “I’ve been picking him up for three years now…he’s usually my first pickup of the day. And, let me tell you, he’s a nice guy. Quiet, but he’s a nice guy.” Happy to hear it, though I truly hadn’t a doubt in my mind.

2. The Big Freeze
“Everyone is talking about how cold it is, but as I remember, this is what winter is,” Anderson says matter-of-factly. “This is what happens.” Touché. While some shiver, Rosie embraces the chill. “I like to stand out in my backyard and breathe so I can see my breath.” Normal? Probably not. Adorably quirky? Absolutely.

3. They’re still Bey-lieving.
How could they not talk about the controversy on everyone’s lips? Beyoncé-gate. Despite all the hoopla surrounding her lip-sync scandal, Anderson is standing by Queen B. “I'm a big Beyoncé fan, but I don't really care,” he says. “I don't think it's a big deal.” Rosie agrees it is a bunch of over-the-top brouhaha. “My whole family knows I'm obsessed with Beyoncé. When I'm in the shower, I'm her,” she confesses, singing a little line from “Crazy In Love.” Though Rosie “was like, ‘No, she didn’t,” when she first heard the news, she believes “the story has been blown out of proportion.”

4. Beware of the flu.
Anderson is “obsessed” with the flu. Don’t fear for him, though. “My flu shot kicked in yesterday…so now I feel invincible,” he says, adding that the “shot is only 60 percent effective.” Rosie, who claims she caught the flu from a supermarket cashier, swears by olive leaf extract as a holistic cure. But Anderson can’t get on board, exclaiming “it’s disgusting” after downing a dropper-full.

5. Birthday boy?
In talking flu prevention, Anderson admits he’s compulsive about washing his hands. “In the men's room at CNN, I'm sitting there singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to myself,” he confesses (the CDC recommends humming the tune from beginning to end twice to ensure effective hand-washing.) “People are walking by like, ‘Why is Anderson singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to himself? He must be very lonely.’” Boy, would I like to be a fly on the wall in that restroom.

6. Put it to rest, dueling divas.
Though she doesn’t tune in often to American Idol since Simon Cowell left, Rosie — who is “all about women's power” — feels fazed by the feud between judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. “I think both women are guilty. It bothers me,” she says. “There's a mature way to defend your point.” Though Anderson isn’t sure he buys “how real all the fighting is,” he pinpoints its true purpose: “It gives the show buzz, and gives people a reason to watch.” But he bemoans how all that drama steals attention from the Idol hopefuls: “No one is talking about the performers, which is really sad.” Agreed, Anderson.

7. Boogie down.
Before the show even kicked off, several unsuspecting audience members agree to show off their best breaking-it-down moves (count me out) in a dance competition to — what else? — Justin Bieber's “Beauty and a Beat.” The grand prize: An Anderson Live! t-shirt. During commercial breaks, the dance-off continues with new bold-and-brave contestants. My favorite? The broadcast journalism professor from University of Tennessee, Sam Swan, who slowly stripped off his conservative black blazer to the applause of the in-studio students. Seems the Silver Fox will make you do funny things. I, instead, held on to my humility.

8. Doggie Doo!
“It's pretty self-explanatory,” Anderson insists of the way-wacky kids’ toy. It goes something like this: Feed the fake pooch, squeeze its leash, squeal at the fart noises and wait for it to go…plop. Then what? Clean up! “It comes with these little shovels,” he adds. But Anderson struggles to, well, get the “doo” out. “It's supposed to come out. We practiced with this backstage. It worked,” he says with a laugh. “Maybe the dog is constipated,” Rosie chimes in. “How hard can this toy be that I can’t make it work? Oh wait, there it is, I see it!” he excitedly exclaims, as he yanks out the playdough-like putty from the pup’s tush. One word: gross.

9. Manti Te’o
The show’s mood takes a turn for the serious with talk of the headline-hitting Manti Te’o hoax. “I had no idea. I keep up on…the times, but I don't follow college football. I don't follow college football players' girlfriends,” says Diane O'Meara, whose identity was stolen in the faux girlfriend stunt. “All it would have taken was for me to Google it.” Even though she had no hand in the hoax, Diane is bearing the consequences. “I've shut down all my social media accounts. It's like living in a cage,” she says somberly. “We're searchable now. We're encouraged to be searchable. But you have to think about..what's being exposed. It's very hard to protect yourself in this day and age.”

10. I. Am. Spartacus.
"I'm either having a hot flash, or you're making me hot,” Rosie says to Liam McIntyre. But, girls, don’t get your hopes up — the hunk from Down Under is taken. The actor recently got engaged to actress/girlfriend Erin Hasan. But it was no ordinary proposal: After a year of planning, Liam had his wife-to-be whisked away at Disney World and dressed up as her favorite fairy-tale princess before presenting her with a meal of her favorite food. He — fittingly, in prince attire — then got down on one knee to pop the question. Swoon.

Jason Statham never met a gun he couldn't strike an iconic pose with, or a vaguely European villain he couldn't kickpunch.

The owner of the beard equivalent of Zoolander’s Blue Steel – and the best electric razor in the history of shaving – Statham continues to blaze an action hero trail with his new film, Parker.

Beverly Hills is turning into Cougar Town.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Adrienne Maloof has been officially single for only two months, but she’s officially taken a new romantic interest.

The mother of two confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that she’s in the early stages of a relationship with Rod Stewart’s son Sean.

The shocking part? The rock star’s offspring is about 20 years her junior.

“This started as a business relationship and now we’re casually dating,” Maloof, 51, told the mag.

And 32-year-old Stewart, who’s known for his partying and bad boys ways in Hollywood, has apparently matured a bit over the years.

“He’s been clean and sober for years,” Maloof said of her new beau. “He’s a lot more mature than a lot of 60-year-olds at this time in his life.”

Maloof divorced Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Paul Nassif in early November; they’d been married for 10 years before announcing their split, which was riddled with custody issues and legal battles over the couple’s three children.

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is one busy bee. Since becoming a mother to her adorable son Lorenzo, the Jersey Shore star has come across some baby products worthy of sharing with her fans. On Wednesday, Snooki took to her personal blog to make a special announcement, along with an exclusive photo of her little boy:

Hi guys!

A lot of you have asked me about what my baby must haves are so I decided every Wednesday I am going to share one of my favorite products that I use for Lorenzo!

Before I tell you my must haves, I just want you to be CAREFUL when shopping for your baby because some things that are rated awesome can sometimes get recalled!

So what I did to ease my mind was talk to other mothers on what their favorites were and those eventually became mine! So always get advice from other mothers and be careful when choosing things for your baby!

The first item I love is the Fisher-Price Cradle 'n Swing. This is a MUST have. This has helped me get the little sleep that I do get! Lorenzo is in love with his swing. It's great for newborns because it helps them sleep and relax with the rocking motion and beautiful lullabies. Lorenzo at 4 months still takes naps in this and will continue until he's outgrown it. BEST thing ever for newborns!

This picture is a never before seen photo of Lorenzo as a newborn in his swing!

Make sure you come back every Wednesday to find out another one of my must have baby products!

XOXO <3

Have you tried the baby products Snooki swears by? What products can you recommend for fellow moms? Share your favorites below — and be sure to check Snooki’s personal blog every Wednesday for more baby product recommendations.

To Put it Bluntly, Rihanna’s Still Smokin’ (PHOTOS)

Rihanna's Instagram Pics

Will Rihanna's upcoming tour feature a rendition of "Puff the Magic Dragon?"

On Wednesday, while on a break from tour rehearsal on the West Coast, the 24-year-old shared a "selfie" of herself on Instagram, smoking what appears to be a blunt.

"You a real n****, then ph**k with me! #GOLD" the caption read.

"It's gonna be a long night #ROCstar101 #ph**kit," she later added on Twitter.

This isn't the first time Rihanna has shared personal snapshots of herself with the green stuff.

In December, the "Diamonds" singer's rumored on-again beau Chris Brown posted a cloudy photo on Instagram, days after Rihanna shared a picture of herself rolling brown paper.

"What would music today sound like if these kids didn't exist?" the caption read at the time, along with a photo of Brown, puffing away on what looked to be a joint, and Rihanna, emerging from a camouflage-themed comforter.

On Jan. 4, leaving the rolling papers behind, Rihanna posted a photo of her favorite green stuff on Instagram.

"This nug look like a skull or am I just …?" she wrote in the caption.

Rihanna's Diamonds World Tour will kick off Mar. 8 in Buffalo, NY.

What do you think of Rihanna's smoking habits? Do you think she's over-sharing? Weigh in below.

Ashton Takes a Bite Out of Apple (VIDEO)

Posted: 24 Jan 2013 01:21 PM PST

Ah, the early days of OS talk.

This week, fans of the late Steve Jobs and his empire were treated to a brand new clip from the highly anticipated biopic, jOBS, starring Ashton Kutcher as the Apple co-founder.

Viewers are taken to Jobs and Steve Wozniak's (played by Josh Gad) Hewlett Packard days. Wozniak has just created a computer operating system, but would rather keep it to himself as he believes the outside world wouldn't nerd out as much.

"You can see what you're working on while you're working on it," a bearded Kutcher says in the clip. "This is freedom. This is freedom to create, and to do and to build, as artists. As individuals."

"No one wants to buy a computer, nobody!" Gad fires back.

jOBS, which opens in theaters on Apr. 19, will close the 2013 Sundance Film Festival this weekend.

The film, directed by Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote), also stars Dermot Mulroney, Matthew Modine, Lukas Haas and J.K. Simmons.

Check out the new clip of Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs, above. Then tell us: what do you think of Kutcher as the Apple co-founder so far? Are you looking forward to the film?

Mara's physician, played by Jude Law, is determined to get to the bottom of what happened – and how responsible he might be.

"I want to know what happened," Law's character says.

Another person questions Mara's character's culpability. "Did the person do it?" she asks. "Are they guilty?"

Law's character responds. "Those are two very different things."

Sharon Osbourne on Lady Gaga Feud: ‘Nobody Messes with My Kids’ (VIDEO)

Posted: 24 Jan 2013 09:28 AM PST

Sharon Osbourne talks Lady Gaga feud

If you mess with the Osbourne clan, you have to answer to Mama Sharon.

In a continuation of the feud that just won’t die, Sharon Osbourne fiercely defended her decision to take on Lady Gaga and her fans after they threatened her family as a result of a battle that originated between Kelly Osbourne and Mother Monster.

The argument started when Gaga sent an open letter to Kelly on Jan. 10, telling her to stop her bullying and critical comments on E!’s Fashion Police. In turn, Sharon wrote Gaga a letter of her own.

Now, Sharon has taken Gaga and her fans to task yet again. On the set of her CBS talk show, The Talk, she criticized their violent and gun-fueled rants against her family, telling Celebuzz on Wednesday: "My opinion is, Gaga wants a kinder world. Don't let your fans be so hideously damaging, hurtful, violent, spread violence on your website."

And we’re sure Sharon has plenty of, well, ammunition against Gaga.  After going off on the pop star and guns on The Talk on Jan. 14, Mother Monster took to the stage in Vancouver that very night sporting  a guns-blazing bra.

When asked Wednesday if she was sorry she got involved in the fracas, Sharon retorted, “How can you regret supporting your daughter?” She also reminded us of the fact that Lady Gaga’s own mother had written the original letter with Gaga.

Osbourne then reiterated the obvious: if anyone criticizes her family, they can expect to hear from her. Concluded the always entertaining star: “Take that to the bank, Mrs.!”

To see more of Sharon’s interview, watch the video above.  Then tell us: Should Sharon have stayed out of it and let Kelly fight her own battles, or was she right to come to her daughter’s rescue?

Bethenny’s Divorce: It’s Getting Ugly

Posted: 24 Jan 2013 11:50 AM PST

Jason Hoppy, the soon-to-be-ex-husband of reality TV star Bethenny Frankel, is seeking primary custody of the couple’s two-year-old daughter, Bryn, TMZ has learned.

The request was made by Hoppy on Wednesday in response to a divorce petition filed earlier by Frankel, who is also seeking primary custody of Bryn.

In fact, the couple apparently wants exactly the same things from each other. Among their requests: They both want each other to pay for their respective medical and dental insurance and bills, as well as related expenses for Bryn.

They also want to maintain each other’s life insurance policies and, you know, have exclusive rights to their house, among other gritty details.

So much for Bethenny Ever After.

Frankel, 40, filed for divorce from Hoppy, 41, earlier this month. She announced the couple was separating in December.

In January, Frankel spoke to Ellen DeGeneres about the split, revealing, “I feel like a failure. I really put it out there. I wanted the fairytale. I thought I had it. And Bryn is my fairy tale.”

Frankel wed Hoppy in 2010 on television, as part of her Bethenny Getting Married series, a spin-off of The Real Housewives of New York City.

Sharon Osbourne on Daughter Kelly’s Engagement: ‘As Long as She’s Happy, I’m Happy’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Posted: 23 Jan 2013 08:10 PM PST

Kelly Osbourne is heading down the aisle — and no one is as thrilled for the bride-to-be than her own mother, Sharon.

“As long as Kelly’s happy, I’m happy,” the CBS’ The Talk co-host told Celebuzz during an exclusive interview Wednesday. “That’s it. That’s the way it goes.”

Though 60-year-old Hollywood mom kept mum about the couple’s engagement, which reportedly happened over the holidays, Sharon is nonetheless happy that her daughter is set to wed vegan chef Matthew Mosshart.

“I do happen to adore her boyfriend,” she gushed about her future son-in-law.

Kelly, 28, and her beau, 29, first went public with their relationship in December 2011, when the couple were spotted engaging in some serious PDA in New York.

Since dating Mosshart, the E!’s Fashion Police co-host has given him plenty of credit for helping her maintain a healthy lifestyle.

"I love Matthew and we love to work out together — we motivate one another," she told The Daily Mail last December.

"I go on the treadmill every day for half an hour and do two hours of exercise if I have a special event."

Kelly has been once engaged to model Luke Worrall in 2009, but split in July 2010 after he had an affair with model Elle Schneider.

Grizz Chapman on the End of ’30 Rock’ (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

Posted: 24 Jan 2013 06:35 AM PST

Of all the characters on NBC’s Emmy-winning comedy 30 Rock, it will be especially hard to say goodbye to Grizz, who over seven seasons went from Tracy Jordan’s quiet back-up man to one of the funniest characters on the show.

Grizz Chapman, the actor who, duh, plays him, recently swung by the Celebuzz studio to talk about the show’s final episode (January 31) and what about it that ultimately brought a tear to his eye.

“I think the true fans of 30 Rock will definitely like how it ends,” Chapman told us. “It’s definitely going to be a tear-jerker for all the true fans.”

In fact, wrapping production on the show was so emotional, even Chapman says he shed a tear.

“There’s a table where the craft service people prepare the food,” he said. “Ninety-nine percent of the time when we’re shooting, that’s the only place where they have seats. So we’d come there and sit there. Seeing that table for the last time brought a tear to my eye, because me, Tracy [Morgan]Kevin [Brown], we spent a lot of time together at that table. Tracy Morgan, holding court every day, that was his soap box area.”

“It definitely brought a tear to my eye, not [being able to see] that area for awhile,” he said.

For more thoughts from Chapman, including a tease of how his character will wrap, watch the video, above.

While in the studio, Chapman also revealed his thoughts on how his character, Grizz, evolved over seven seasons, plus his thoughts on what co-star and long-time friend Tracy Morgan is like when the cameras aren’t rolling.

Check that out in the videos, below.

Super Bowl Weekend Just Got a Whole Lot Hotter

Posted: 24 Jan 2013 07:49 AM PST

Justin Timberlake‘s comeback is in full swing.

The singer is set to take the stage at DIRECTV’s Super Saturday Night event in New Orleans on February 2, a day before the championship game, Billboard reports (via MTV News).

The charity gig serves as Timberlake’s first concert in four years, and he is slated to perform his latest smash single, “Suit & Tie.”

The former N’SYNC star also marks his return to Super Bowl weekend since his controversial halftime show performance with Janet Jackson in 2004.

The 32-year-old last hit the road in 2007, when he toured the globe for his hit album, FutureSex/LoveSounds. And he’s certainly got another smash on his hands:  “Suit & Tie,” featuring Jay-Z, just earned the achievement of most first-week plays of any track in the history of the Billboard Pop Songs chart, with a total play of 6045 times across U.S. radio stations following its Jan. 14 release.

And a visual aid for the tune is on its way: on Wednesday, the singer released a 30-second preview clip for the single’s music video.

The song is just the first single off his upcoming album, the 20/20 Experience, out later this year.

"The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs," he wrote in an open letter to fans. "That's all I'm giving you for now… I know, I know! Again, with the teasing!!!

What are you most excited about when it comes to this year’s game? The match-up between the 49ers and Ravens? The halftime show? The commercials? Sound off in the comments.

Our 10 Favorite Moments from 10 Seasons of ‘Project Runway’

Posted: 23 Jan 2013 08:02 PM PST

A new season of Project Runway premieres tonight, and there’s a whole lot to be excited about. With Michael Kors signing off and Zac Posen in, we can expect a fresh new feel to the show.

Season 11 is sure to bring more fabulous guest appearances by fashion A-listers after last season upped the ante with Katie Holmes’ cameo — plus, more of the drama, style and Heidi-isms that have made the show a hit.

“Ten years has produced ten talented casts and racks of fashion eye candy!” says David Zyla, Emmy Award-winning stylist and author of Color Your Style.

With ten seasons and a successful spinoff, Project Runway All Stars, under its belt, it’s hard to remember what life was like pre-Project Runway. The fashion reality series has come a long way since its first season, when the designers, limited to items that they bought in a grocery store, fashioned looks made out of everything from crawfish and candy to aluminum foil and flat bread. Amazing.

So as we countdown to tonight’s premiere, we’re looking back at some of the fashionable highlights from the past ten seasons of Project Runway.

Who can forget the Season One supermarket challenge and the cornhusk cocktail dress created by Austin Scarlett? Season Two brought another difficult challenge using only materials from Manhattan’s flower district. This round was mastered by Daniel Vosovic and his beautiful flower dress.

Also of note: Season Four wunderkind Christian Siriano and Chris March’s avant garde off-white ruffled gown, as well as Korto Momolu’s seat-belt dress, a highlight of Season Five.

We all have our favorite episodes of Project Runway lore — Santino Rice’s pitch perfect impressions of Tim Gunn (“Andre, you really embarrassed me tonight at Red Lobster!”) and Austin Scarlett's corn-fed innovation are up there for us.

See the rest of our favorite moments from the past ten seasons of Project Runway.

What’s your favorite Project Runway moment? Share your highlights below.

Beyond the Smush Room: Lindsay Lohan ‘Made Out’ With DJ Pauly D, Reveals Snooki

Posted: 23 Jan 2013 08:10 PM PST

We’ve seen plenty of action in the infamous “smush room” on Jersey Shore, but castmember DJ Pauly D got a little loving from Lindsay Lohan outside the New Jersey area.

According to fellow fist pumper Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, the two “made out” during one outing when the cast was in Los Angeles for the first time — then promoting the first season of their famed MTV series.

“It was the first time in L.A. and I feel like she was flirting with Pauly — and I feel like they made out,” Snooki told Celebuzz in an exclusive interview. “But it was like three years ago.”

What does Snooki, 25, think of the embattled actress getting close with her then roommate?

“I never met her but I think she’s great,” she told us.

“Personally, I like Lindsay,” she continued. “I think she’s a fun girl and she’s made a few mistakes and people thinks she’s the devil for it.”

Wait, a few mistakes?

“Well, that’s life,” Snooki quipped. “Nobody’s perfect. Yeah, she’s made mistakes but it doesn’t mean she’s a bad person.”

“I think she’s awesome. She used to be a great actress and hopefully one day she’ll get it back.”

Watch our one-on-one chat — above — with Snooki to see what she has to say about the often-misunderstood Kristen Stewart.

Lance Armstrong Sued by Book Readers

Two readers have filed a class-action law suit against cyclist Lance Armstrong after the shamed cyclist confessed to using performance-enhancing drugs during his multiple Tour-de-France victories.

Rob Stutzman and Jonathan Wheeler filed the lawsuit on Tuesday, claiming they never would have read Armstrong’s books — 2000′s It’s Not About the Bike and the 2003 follow-up, Every Second Counts — “had they known the true facts concerning Armstrong’s misconduct and his admitted involvement in a sports doping scandal.”

“Stutzman bought the book in California and read it cover to cover,” the lawsuit reads. "Although Stutzman does not buy or read many books, he found Armstrong's book incredibly compelling and recommended the book to several friends.

Stutzman and Wheeler are also calling the books “works of fiction,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Last week, Armstrong confessed to Oprah Winfrey that he used performance-enhancing drugs during all seven of his Tour-de-France victories, calling his success story “one big lie.”

An Idiot’s Guide to the Manti Te’o Scandal

Posted: 24 Jan 2013 01:22 PM PST

There are strange stories, and then there is the downright bizarre tale of Manti Te’o, an All-American linebacker for Notre Dame whose tragic personal life turned out to be not so tragic at all.

In fact, it was all a big hoax, akin to the likes of the popular movie Catfish.

For many months, Te’o captivated the world of college football with said story, which began in September 2012 when his grandmother and girlfriend died within days of each other.

From there, he turned tragedy into triumph, leading the Fighting Irish on the field all the way to the BCS National Championship game, where they lost 42-14 to Alabama in an admittedly clumsy performance.

Along the way, there were cover stories (Sports Illustrated profiled Te’o for its Oct. 1 issue, in a story called “The Full Manti”); there were awards (in December, he was named the Walter Camp Player of the Year award, just days before he almost won the Heisman).

Most of all, there was the unmitigated support from football fans across the Nation.

And then, on Jan. 16, there was this article from Deadspin, which put the spotlight back on Te’o — for all the wrong reasons.

What Deadspin quickly uncovered was that Te’o's girlfriend, Lennay Kekua, allegedly a 22-year-old Stanford student who died of leukemia shortly after being involved in a serious car accident, didn’t actually exist. This, despite numerous accounts — many from Te’o himself — of phone conversations (Te’o told Sports Illustrated that he had phoned Kekua at the hospital), Twitter exchanges and an actual in-person meeting. (Te’o had said he met Kekua after a Notre Dame-Stanford football game in 2009.)

Deadspin eventually put two and two together when they got in contact with a woman, known only as Reba, whose photos were being used on Kekua’s various social media sites and in a profile on CBS This Morning.

One specific was photo was sent by Reba to a former classmate named Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, who had requested she hold up a sign that read “MSMK.” The sign, Deadspin writes, was for Tuiasosopo’s ailing cousin, who had allegedly seen pictures of Reba and “thought she was pretty.” Once she found out what was going on, things got, well, a little weird.

(Reba, known now as Diane O’Meara, spoke to TODAY about the scandal on Jan. 22, which you can watch here.)

Eventually — on Dec. 6, to be exact — Te’o himself found out about the hoax at the ESPN/Home Depot Awards, when he received a phone call informing him that Kekua was still alive. He came clean to his family over the holiday break, then to Head Coach Brian Kelly and Defensive Coordinator Bob Diaco on. Dec. 26, and athletics director Jack Swarbrick, on Dec. 27. A private investigator was subsequently hired; he was reportedly cleared on Jan. 4, according to reports.

But before anything else could happen, the Deadspin article came out, forcing Te’o to come clean once and for all.

On Jan. 16, hours after the report was published, he said this to ESPN:

This is incredibly embarrassing to talk about, but over an extended period of time, I developed an emotional relationship with a woman I met online. We maintained what I thought to be an authentic relationship by communicating frequently online and on the phone, and I grew to care deeply about her. To realize that I was the victim of what was apparently someone’s sick joke and constant lies was, and is, painful and humiliating. It further pains me that the grief I felt and the sympathies expressed to me at the time of my grandmother’s death in September were in any way deepened by what I believed to be another significant loss in my life. I am enormously grateful for the support of my family, friends and Notre Dame fans throughout this year. To think that I shared with them my happiness about my relationship and details that I thought to be true about her just makes me sick. I hope that people can understand how trying and confusing this whole experience has been. In retrospect, I obviously should have been much more cautious. If anything good comes of this, I hope it is that others will be far more guarded when they engage with people online than I was. Fortunately, I have many wonderful things in my life, and I’m looking forward to putting this painful experience behind me as I focus on preparing for the NFL Draft.

A statement from Notre Dame Assistant Vice President Dennis Brown followed:

On Dec. 26, Notre Dame coaches were informed by Manti Te'o and his parents that Manti had been the victim of what appears to be a hoax in which someone using the fictitious name Lennay Kekua apparently ingratiated herself with Manti and then conspired with others to lead him to believe she had tragically died of leukemia. The University immediately initiated an investigation to assist Manti and his family in discovering the motive for and nature of this hoax. While the proper authorities will continue to investigate this troubling matter, this appears to be, at a minimum, a sad and very cruel deception to entertain its perpetrators.

In wake of the Deadspin article, and amid allegations that he may have been involved in the hoax, T’eo sat down for a two-and-a-half-hour interview with ESPN, during which he explained his side of the story.

Asked if he was part of the hoax, he said, “No. Never … I wasn’t faking it. I wasn’t part of this.” He then put the blame on Tuiasosopo, whom Te’o says contacted him last Wednesday and admitted to the hoax.

“Two guys and a girl are responsible for the whole thing … According to Ronaiah, Ronaiah’s one,” T’eo told ESPN.

He also clarified why he lied about meeting Kekua in 2009.

“I even knew, that it was crazy that I was with somebody that I didn’t meet, and that alone — people find out that this girl who died, I was so invested in, I didn’t meet her, as well. So I kind of tailored my stories to have people think that, yeah, he met her before she passed away, so that people wouldn’t think that I was some crazy dude,” he said.

“My relationship with Lennay wasn’t a four-year relationship. There were blocks and times and periods in which we would talk and then it would end,” he continued, adding it kicked into high-gear when Kekua told him that her dad had died. (Get more details from the incredibly in-depth interview on ESPN.)

More pieces to this increasingly confusing puzzle should suss out in the coming weeks; later today, Te’o will appear in an exclusive interview with Katie Couric on her daytime talk show. (In a clip released Tuesday, Te’o tells the talk-show host, “Now I get a phone call on Dec. 6, saying that she’s alive and then I’m going be put on national TV two days later. And to ask me about the same question. You know, what would you do? … Katie, put yourself in my situation. I, my whole world told me that she died on Sept. 12. Everybody knew that. This girl, who I committed myself to, died on Sept. 12.”)

For now, though, it’s worth checking out the full account from Deadspin, which is epic, crazy and jaw-dropping, in that Law & Order marathon kind of way.

For some of Tinseltown's hottest stars, having a bikini-ready body is no walk in the park.

Just ask Jada Pinkett-Smith, Stacy Keibler, Halle Berry — or their trainers.

"Halle's body looks 10 years younger, at least," the actress' trainer Nat Bardonnet told Us Weekly last fall, adding that the mother-of-one follows a strict routine that includes squats, leg raises, lunges and pushups.

In honor of feeling good and staying healthy for the beach or vacation — whatever time of the year — Celebuzz is taking a look at 25 of the fittest bikini bodies in the business.

For George Clooney's main squeeze, we found out from Keibler's trainer last year that it's all about a well balanced diet.

"She loves eating organic and eating raw, and sometimes she'll be a vegetarian during meals or over periods of time," according to Juliet Kaska, whoalso trains Kate Walsh and Ali Larter.

"But she also loves food and enjoys it. She has that balance of being able to go out for a great dinner while still taking care of her body and treating herself healthy."

Several supermodels, including Erin Heatherton and Alessandra Ambrosio, also make the list. They too, are fans of keeping everything in moderation.

"I work out two days and then I need a rest day," Candice Swanepoel revealed last November. "Then I work another two days, then I rest again . . . it's just about fine-tuning it."

Check out the gallery, above, for 25 of the fittest bikini bodies in Hollywood. Then tell us: who do you think has the best bikini body? Have you tried any of the workout plans the stars swear by? Weigh in below.

Heidi Klum Busts a Move on Jay Leno’s Desk…and Flashes Some Skin (VIDEO)

Posted: 24 Jan 2013 04:57 AM PST

From the runway to table tops, Heidi Klum certainly knows how to strut her stuff.

The supermodel and Project Runway host appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote her fragrance Surprise, and Klum came armed with another surprise in store — a table top dancing lesson.

The fun all began when Leno showed a photo of Klum dancing on a table during a Golden Globes after party.

“I had fun. I was with my friend Lorraine Schwartz, she’s like one of the best jewelry designers,” the 39-year-old explained. “We were at the Harvey Weinstein party afterwards, and she was like, ‘This party is so boring, we need to do something fun,’ and she’s like, ‘Go and dance on the table,’ so, someone had to. So I did. And, you know, I had a few glasses of champagne and so I was like, ‘Why not?’”

Leading Leno to ask: “Have you ever fallen while dancing on a table?”

“Well, no, ’cause I got skills,” Klum responded. “You just have to get up…”

The reality show host proceeded to climb atop her chair, grabbing Leno’s hand as she got on his desk — and gave viewers the ultimate peep show, thanks to her see-through dress, which put her toned thighs on full display.

Klum continued to bust a move as the band played a cover of Rihanna‘s “Only Girl (in the World).”

Wonder if Seal tuned in…
