| Top 5 ‘Spoby’ Moments on ‘Pretty Little Liars’ (PHOTOS) Posted: 22 Jan 2013 12:17 PM PST      If the previews and executive producer Marlene King's Twitter are any indication, then Tuesday night's episode of ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars - King’s directorial debut – is going to be an epic game changer for fan favorite couple, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby (Keegan Allen) Since the shocking reveal of Toby's "A" team status, fans have been tensely waiting for the moment when Spencer would find out about her boyfriends' duplicitous nature. And now it looks like that moment is upon us and perfectly timed for “Spoby's” first anniversary. Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam is in early talks to reunite with his Pacific Rim director for the Legendary Pictures release. Story details are being kept top-secret, but we do know that this Gothic horror film is set in London and is aiming to start production in February 2014. [The Hollywood Reporter] Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s directorial debut made a significant mark on Sundance 2013, and soon the rest of the moviegoing public will be able to see it.
On Monday, Relativity Media bought U.S. rights to distribute Gordon-Levitt’s porn addiction comedy, Don Jon’s Addiction - which JGL also wrote and stars in. The film will hit theaters this summer. ”I couldn’t be happier, it’s what I always wanted for this movie,” Gordon-Levitt said on his website, hitRECord. Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum also star. [Deadline] Artist Drew Struzan has designed posters for every franchise from Indiana Jones to Star Wars, and the latter just might draw him out of retirement. In an interview on Monday, Struzan revealed that Disney recently contacted him about creating marketing materials for the new Star Wars trilogy. Toby Jones confirmed that he will once again play the villainous Arnim Zola in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The sequel takes places years after the WWII-set first film, which implies that Jones’ character will most likely be seen via flashback. Soldier, which also features The Hurt Locker‘s Anthony Mackie as good guy Falcon, opens on April 4, 2014. [HeyUGuys] First, it was dueling volcano movies. Than planet-killing asteroid/comet pictures. Now, Hollywood has two competing John McAfee movies in the works. TMZ reported that Lindsay Lohan has turned down a $550,000 offer to appear on the next season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars. The troubled starlet has been in hot water recently, both professionally and financially, with her back-to-back film flops Scary Movie 5 and the Lifetime flick Liz & Dick. She’s also on Bravo’s bad side after her cameo on the reality show Million Dollar Decorators. The network gave the 26-year-old $250,000 worth of furniture to furnish her Beverly Hills home, only to have Lohan fail to show on the final day of shooting for the property’s big reveal. While it’s unclear exactly what made LiLo say no to the dancing competition, it certainly couldn’t have hurt the actress’ reputation in Hollywood. And while a show rep tells Celebuzz that it doesn’t comment on casting, we went ahead and compiled the top five reasons why she should’ve said yes to the dancing reality show: 1. She could use the money. TMZ reported that Lohan was struggling to pay the $8,000 rent for her Beverly Hills mansion in December 2012.2. She’s practically uninsurable by Hollywood standards. While on the set of Liz & Dick, the star violated the terms of her insurance by crashing her Porsche into an 18-wheeler on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu. If she could prove that she can get through a season of DWTS, that may change her insurance rep. 3. She would get another chance to win over the American public. Her Lifetime film, where she played a troubled Elizabeth Taylor, failed to impress ratings-wise and drew in a softer than expected 3.5 million viewers. Lohan’s exposure on the dancing show would be massive in comparison to her latest projects – giving her ample chance to become a household name for all the right reasons. 4. She would stay healthy. The actress has battled addiction and dramatic weight changes in the past, but the intense regimen of all day rehearsals could push the star to make healthier lifestyle choices.5. Why not! Lohan doesn’t have many projects in the can as of now, and this would be a surefire way to make an impressive salary, and have a full-time job for at least a few months (depending on her dancing skills, of course). Mercedes-Benz is hoping to draw attention to its new CLA coupe by enlisting the help of blonde bombshell Kate Upton to wash their latest model in their new TV commercial. Though the full advert won’t air until Super Bowl, its teaser clips are packing quite the punch — with the Sports Illustrated model showing off major skin in a low-cut tank top and barely-there daisy dukes. Being a savvy siren, the 20-year-old comes up with a clever way soap up her ride without (disappointingly) getting her hands dirty.

Following weeks of conflicting media coverage, an autopsy confirmed that the Australian actor died of an accidental overdose on a cocktail of prescription medications in his SoHo apartment in New York City on Jan. 22, 2008. Not only did he leave behind Matilda, now 7, his daughter with ex-girlfriend Michelle Williams, but Ledger’s untimely death at the tender age of 28 cut short a budding career bursting with promise. After being nominated for a Best Actor Academy Award for his tear-jerking turn in 2005′s Brokeback Mountain, Ledger’s legacy gained Oscar glory just months after his life came to an end. After performing a rousing rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” during President Obama’s public swearing-in, the pop star earned praise all the way from Washington’s cheering crowd to the social media sphere. But now Beyoncé may face backlash as it’s been revealed that she fell back on a “pre-recording” rather than risking it live during the inaugural ceremony on the steps of the U.S. Capitol on Monday. “We all know Beyonce can sing,” Master Sgt. of the U.S. Marine Corps Band Kristin Dubois told ABC News. “We all know the Marine Corps Band can play. We do not know why she decided to go with the pre-recorded music at the last minute.” The evening before Inauguration Day, Beyoncé laid down her her rendition of the tune — sharing behind-the-scenes snaps of the recording studio session— which Dubois explained is common procedure in case anything goes awry during the oath of office ceremony.“I’ve been with the band 14 years. It’s not unusual,” said Dubois, adding that “You can’t have an inaugural without the National Anthem.” Then just before stepping front-and-center on the stage Monday, Beyoncé decided to ditch her live vocals, opting to rely on the pre-recorded renditions. Even though the director continued to conduct as the Grammy-winning singer lip-synced, the Marine Corps. band was instructed not to play for the performance, raising eyebrows among inauguration-goers and at-home viewers. But Beyoncé isn’t the first to forgo an on-the-spot performance for an Obama inauguration. Back in 2009, the cellist Yo-Yo Ma and the violinist Itzhak Perlman, two of the most beloved figures in classical music, performed to a playback version of “Air and Simple Gifts,” understandable given that the freezing temperatures and gusting winds on that day.Now the world is left wondering: If she was for-real faking it, why did Beyoncé ever-so-dramatically pull her ear piece out during the performance? Keri Johnson, the ex-wife of former NFL player/Simpson’s main squeeze Eric Johnson, even has the makings of the tome ready and waiting — and it’ll chronicle the period when Eric starting dating Simpson while he was still married. "She's always thought about writing a book through their divorce," a source said of Keri. “She actually started writing during the divorce to cope with what was happening.” So what would she reveal?
“She just wants to be honest. Keri wants to detail the divorce from her own perspective and what happened, and inevitably Jessica would be a part of that," said the source. "She would talk about how they were so public with their relationship during her divorce.” Eric and Keri were married for five years before legally separating in October 2009 and filing for divorce in January 2010; within months, the former San Francisco 49er started dating Simpson. The two were even spotted celebrating the singer's 30th birthday in Italy that July — before Eric’s divorce was finalized. After a whirlwind romance and quick courtship, they announced their engagement in November 2010. In May 2012, Simpson gave birth to a daughter, Maxwell Drew Johnson; just seven months later, she announced she was expecting the couple’s second child. Despite the drama, Keri’s book has an objective other than revenge. "Of course she was very upset, but Keri's not going to make Jessica the focus of the book," said the source. Last April, the 18-year-old One Direction star was spotted shirtless in the Caribbean with only one tattoo in sight: his very first, the outline of a star on the inside of his left arm. The troubled starlet, 26, posted an Instagram pic of herself alongside The Wanted frontman Max George, further fueling rumors of a possible romance between the pair. The reported couple first sparked the rumor mill after the British boy bander became embroiled in Lohan’s November drama; the Liz & Dick star had a nasty brawl with a fortune teller outside a New York City nightclub. Since the incident, Lohan has hit the road with George and his bandmates several times, catching them perform at z100′s Jingle Ball in December before attending two of their Philadelphia and Boston. “I love that she can party nearly as hard as we can,” George told The Huffington Post. “I suppose we're all good mates already, so I hope that lasts. She's cool.” Coming into the new year, Lohan has remained mum on their newfound relationship, but made headlines once again when George introduced her to his parents in the United Kingdom. "Max invited her out to his parents’ house in Manchester while she was in the area," a source told TMZ. According to her father, the answer is no. "Listen, things obviously went haywire for him, but my daughter is a very strong person,” David Hansen told Celebuzz of his offspring — and Armstrong’s girlfriend — Anna. “I think she will probably stand by him.” Armstrong, 41, and Anna, 10 years his junior, began dating in 2008 after meeting by way of his charity work . They went on to have two children together: a son, Maxwell, who was born in 2009, and a daughter, Olivia Marie, born in 2010.Now, after the cyclist’s doping confession to Oprah Winfrey, the couple have reportedly fled to Hawaii with their children to escape the press and paparazzi. But regardless of the hasty retreat, Anna’s father believes his daughter can cope with the pressure.
"I think she will do really well,” he said from his home in Colorado. “My daughter is a very strong-willed and independent woman. When she was younger, I would take both Anna and her brother back-packing and camping, and she is very tough. "She always had a positive 'get up and go' attitude, and that will serve her well now. Luckily, Anna will have her father’s full support, should she need it."Obviously, I will be there for my daughter if she needs me because we are a very close-knit family, but I am trying to give her some space just now because they both have a lot to handle,” he said. ” "Anna will talk things through with Lance and make up her own mind about what he has to say. In one of Tinseltown’s most short-lived marriages, Denny’s son famously got to be Mr. Britney Spears, albeit briefly, after a Las Vegas ceremony in Jan. 2004. Just 55 hours later, the singer had the marriage annulled.
Now Jason’s dad says he only wishes Spears’ handlers had left the childhood friends-turned-lovers alone to figure out their own future. "If no one got involved and interfered, I have a feeling they would have played it right together," Denny said. ”They should have just let them two kids alone when they got married." Since calling it quits with her first hubby, Spears has been unlucky in love. In September 2004, the 31-year-old married back-up dancer Kevin Federline; they divorced just two years later and currently share custody of their two children, Sean Preston, 7, and Jayden James, 6. In his first stop of the soiree-filled evening, the president made a grand entrance with waves and a wide smile at the Commander-In-Chief’s Ball inside the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, which also hosted the Inaugural Ball. “This little party is just another way to say something we can never say enough. Thank you,” said the POTUS, just hours after he swore the oath of office during the public inauguration in front of the Capitol. “Some may dispute the quality of our President, but nobody disputes the quality of our First Lady. Ladies and gentleman, my better half, and my dance partner, Michelle Obama!” Then the first couple — with Michelle wowing in Jason Wu red — shared a tender dance, sashaying and singing along to Jennifer Hudson‘s rousing rendition of Al Green‘s “Let’s Stay Together.” As the First Couple danced to the soul classic, party-goers pulled out their cell phones and cameras to get a souvenir shot of the historic moment. Then the pair parted, each joining a military member for a dance before bidding adieu to the cheering crowd.Later, Vice President Joe Biden escorted wife Jill onto the Inaugural Ball dance floor — emblazoned with the presidential seal — where they swayed to the sounds of actor-singer Jamie Foxx, who sang Ray Charles’ “I Can’t Stop Loving You.” Over at the Inaugural Ball — where dignitaries and dealmakers celebrated alongside donors and Obama devotees — Alicia Keys tweaked her hit “Girl on Fire” to honor President Obama’s second term in office.“Everybody stares as he goes by, cause they can see the flame [inaudible] his eyes,” she crooned from her piano perch. “Watch him as he’s lighting up the night. Thanks to dedicated Beliebers across the globe, Bieber officially surpassed Gaga in total number of followers on Monday, with 33,315,521 compared to Mother Monster’s 33,315,459. The 19-year-old gained the lead by adding an average of 40,055 users a day, according to Twittercounter.com. The “Born This Way” singer currently adds 30,495. In August 2010, Gaga’s rabid fanbase helped her overtake Britney Spears with 5.7 million followers. Although the Biebs currently reigns supreme, Gaga gracefully handed over her title. “So proud of @justinbieber and all the Beliebers! I’m only happy to see your fans growing in size, you all deserve it!” she tweeted on Jan. 15. “Monsters support you!” On the heels of his online dominance, Bieber is currently prepping for the Jan. 29 release of Believe Acoustic, which features stripped down versions of hits from his latest album, such as “Boyfriend,” “Beauty and a Beat,” and “As Long As You Love Me.”As for Gaga, the 26-year-old is currently on tour and is expected to release another album, ARTPOP, later this year. The infamous teen bride — who shot to fame in 2011 when she married actor Doug Hutchison at the age of 16 — recently filmed scenes for her upcoming music video Reality on a rooftop, where the conversation was less about what she was wearing and more about what she wasn’t wearing. Indeed, Stodden must of been chilly all the way up there, as she donned nothing but a cleavage-baring white minidress that lay well above the thighs. To complete the look, the buxom blonde wore a pair of her signature platform heels — in white, of course. Along for the ride was Stodden’s co-star, Nick Uzarski, whom Stodden hand picked to play the video’s nerd with a body of gold. No word yet on when the video will premiere. Which is why star Selena Gomez is already warning people about its R-rated content. “Iʼve done my best to warn the parents and my younger fans," the former Disney princess told Celebuzz Saturday night at a benefit concert for UNICEF in New York. "Iʼll be 21 this year so for me itʼs been kind of refreshing and nice to step out of my comfort zone and do things that I didnʼt think I could do as an actress.” “Itʼs been really fun for me,” Gomez, who in the movie plays a college student who robs a restaurant to fund her vacation, continued. “I do my clothing line and everything else for my fans. But 18 and older [fans], go see Spring Breakers!” 2013 should be quite the year for Gomez. Not only is she starring in Spring Breakers, she’s also busy recording her next album, which she says fans will be surprised by. "I havenʼt really said anything about my album to anyone," she admitted. "Iʼve recorded over 18 songs already and I still have a month and a half of recording left!” “Iʼve never recorded this much in my life!” She continued. “Iʼm excited to do things that I feel people are going to be a little taken aback by and surprised with."Gomez went on to describe singing as “therapeutic.” “When youʼre done, you feel so good. | Adele Reveals Nickname for Baby Son Posted: 22 Jan 2013 05:38 AM PST        Adele is staying mum on the name of her baby boy; however she did recently admit to the next best thing: his nickname. “I just call him Little Peanut,” the Grammy-winning singer told PEOPLE (via The Daily Mail) in a recent interview. Adele welcomed her son with boyfriend Simon Konecki on Fri., Oct. 19. Since then, the 21 singer has mostly stayed out of the spotlight. However, she did make an appearance in Los Angeles on Jan. 13, to accept the Golden Globe award for penning the title track to Skyfall. Adele is also nominated for an Oscar for the same song. No word yet on whether she will perform the top 10 song at the ceremony, which airs Feb. 24 on ABC. |
