‘Revenge’ Dives Deeper Into The Initiative, Puts Victoria in Danger Again (VIDEO) Posted: 20 Jan 2013 01:01 PM PST ABC’s Revenge has been spiraling down the rabbit hole that is the Initiative all season long, and it seems like things are only going to get worse before (if?) they get better. Now that Aiden (Barry Sloane) has proven some fake loyalty to them, the Initiative only wants more from him. And in the next all-new episode of Revenge, entitled “Collusion,” the ominous Helen (Wendy Crewson) tasks Aiden with a task proven to be quite difficult in the past: take out Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe). Permanently. Yes, that’s right, Helen asks Aiden to kill Victoria, who is allowing her worries over Daniel (Josh Bowman) to get in the way of the Initiative’s major plans. Not to tip his hand, Aiden prepares to put on a good show for them, hiding in the bushes outside Grayson Manor with a sniper rifle. But, we all know Victoria is the socialite that just can’t die, so while she will undoubtedly come out of “Collusion” unscathed, it may prove to be the beginning of the end for someone else…After Conrad (Henry Czerny) stepped in — at least partially — to help with the Porters’ new legal woes, Jack (Nick Wechsler) and Amanda’s (Margarita Levieva) futures end up in his “unlikely” hands. Conrad has never quite been the hero before, so something tells us his own self-serving interests will get the better of him here. Our money has been on him for be to be the one at the bottom of The Amanda since last week’s episode. He doesn’t seem nearly as untouchable as Victoria. No offense to Czerny. And then there is Daniel, who goes toe-to-toe with a new business rival, Jason Prosser (Dylan Walsh), in order to land an important deal. Though Daniel has proven himself more business-savvy than we expected, his mother is out to stop this particular deal. And when it comes to the two of them, our money would be on Victoria any day! Poor Daniel. Hasn’t he had enough heartache, emotional manipulation, and physical setbacks!?Watch a sneak peek below. Revenge airs on Sunday nights at 9PM on ABC. Are you glad to see Revenge expanding the worlds and story lines for these supporting characters, or do you want the show to get back to the basics of Emily and her revenge list a.s.a.p? Let us know what you think of season two so far in the comments below! |

Jessica Chastain’s ‘Mama’ Tops Box Office With $28.1M Posted: 20 Jan 2013 11:52 AM PST Jessica Chastain beat herself at the box office this weekend. Her new thriller, Mama, grossed more than $28 million over the weekend to take top spot at the box office, and it's far from being done as Martin Luther King day approaches. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Guillermo del Toro picture is projected to wrap up the holiday weekend with at least $33.2 million. Chastain's other box office giant, Zero Dark Thirty, took second place with $17.6 million, while Silver Linings Playbook grossed $11.4 million round out the top three. Moviegoers weren't as kind to new releases from Mark Wahlberg, Russell Crowe and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Broken City, a crime thriller starring Wahlberg and Crowe, finished the weekend in fifth place, with some $9 million in ticket sales. But perhaps the biggest disappointment belonged to the former Governator. Starring in his first leading role in nearly a decade, Schwarzenegger's action film The Last Stand came in dead last (10th place), with a mere $6.3 million. What did you watch this weekend? Did you find 'Mama' scary enough? Weigh in below. |
All Your Celebrity Social Media News in 60 Seconds (VIDEO) Posted: 20 Jan 2013 10:40 AM PST After a visit to the tattoo parlor, Justin Bieber took to Twitter to reflect on his new ink. "If u grow up to be a good man, the rest will all make sense #real," he wrote last week. The fresh ink – located on the right side of his chest — is the Canadian singer's second tattoo in the New Year. Meanwhile Taylor Swift continued to update her fans — and probably ex boyfriend Harry Styles – on her studio and songwriting progress from west coast.Last Tuesday, the 23-year-old country cutie shared a snapshot of herself with a guitar on Instagram, along with the caption, "Somewhere in L.A." Could Swift be hinting at the title of a new song? Elsewhere in Instagram land, Rihanna shared a revealing self-portrait with the hashtags "#complex" and #selfielife" — all in reference to the singer's feature over at Complex Music. ‘Real Housewives’ Star Kenya Moore on Break-Up From Ex Walter: ‘I’m Over Him’ (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO) Posted: 20 Jan 2013 10:17 AM PST Break-ups are never easy; however Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore says she’s “completely okay” after her split from her boyfriend of many months, Walter. “I’m over it,” she told Celebuzz in our exclusive sit-down chat, above. “I’m over him. I’m single again. I’m dating. I’m having a good time looking for love — in the right places.” Indeed, Moore — who says her endgame is still to be in a loving relationship — adds she’s already learned from the mistakes she made with Walter, and will use them as she embarks on her next adventure. “I think I would look for somebody that’s into me, that’s not in it for fame, or not in it for their own personal gain,” she said. “It’s different getting used to reality TV, because I’ve always been really private when it comes to dating … I’ve never been public with any relationship, ever.” “So, this is all new for me, to have the world look at a relationship that I’m in and judge it … It’s been hard, but trust me: I know the mistakes that I’ve make, and I think in life you just learn from your mistakes and you move on.” Meanwhile, Moore — who joined Atlanta this season — also opened up to Celebuzz about her business fallout with co-star Phaedra Parks; and, given that she launched the biggest catchphrase of 2012, we also had a few things to say about “Gone With the Wind Fabulous” and its subsequent single. To see what Moore had to say about this and more, check out the videos, below. The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo. Usher and cast members of Glee also made appearances at the show, held at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Nick Cannon served as the evening's host. This is not the first time Perry has performed in her nation's colors.
Last fall, the "Wide Awake" singer sported a ballot dress for an Obama campaign rally in Las Vegas. Less than two weeks later, Perry followed up with a skin-tight blue number, adorned with the Obama slogan, "Forward." The 44th president of the United States will be sworn in for his second term on Sunday in a private ceremony. A public inauguration ceremony, held at the historic National Mall, will take place on Monday. What do you think of Katy Perry's outfit from Saturday's Kids' Inaugural Concert? Hugh Jackman Rates His Oscar Hosting Skills… With a Yawn Posted: 20 Jan 2013 08:10 AM PST Hugh Jackman is admitting that his performance as host of the 2009 Oscars was less than riveting. “I was way too boring,” the Les Miserables star said at the BAFTA Tea Party in Los Angeles on Saturday. He went on to explain why he wouldn’t rely on the usual “poke fun at celebrities” routine: “I just don’t want to make people feel bad.” That doesn’t mean he thinks this year’s host, Seth MacFarlane, should do the same. Said the nice guy who still finishes first: “He should absolutely go for it.”
MacFarlane certainly has 44-year-old’s Jackman’s blessing to host the show, with the latter calling the funnyman a “genius” choice. And don’t cry for Jackman because of his Oscars misstep: he picked up a Golden Globe Sunday night for his performance in Les Mis. Now that’s star power. Watch the video above to see what else Jackman revealed about his personal and professional life. |
‘Saturday Night Live’ Recap: Jennifer Lawrence Rips Fellow Oscar Nominees (VIDEOS) Posted: 20 Jan 2013 12:29 PM PST Jennifer Lawrence served up some serious trash talk on Saturday Night Live this weekend — but before the headlines start, it was all for the first-time host's opening monologue. "One thing happened at the [Golden] Globes that I need to clarify," the newly-minted winner told the audience. "During my acceptance speech I said, 'I beat Meryl,' which is a quote from themovie The First Wives Club. But which some people took me as trash talking Meryl Streep . . . I would never trash talk any of my fellow nominees at the Golden Globes. "But the Oscars are another story." The 22-year-old went on to call Jessica Chastain "more like Jessica ain't gonna win an Oscar on my watch." For Naomi Watts, Lawrence said, "You were in The Impossible. You know what else is impossible? You beating me on Oscar night."
During the episode’s cold opening, Taran Killam put on his best Piers Morgan face to interview Lance Armstrong, portrayed by Jason Sudeikis. Lawrence also made fun of her own — as in her own movie character from The Hunger Games. In the nearly five-minute sketch, Katniss, Peeta (Killam) and Seneca Crane (Bill Hader) hold a press conference following the Games. (Skip the video if you haven't seen the film). The trio go on to answer questions about food, speaking to the other competitors after the game and the use of performance enhancing (and reducing) drugs. Adam Levine will host next week's Saturday Night Live, with musical guest Kendrick Lamar. What did you think of Jennifer Lawrence on SNL? Check out the clips above, and below, and weigh in. |
Sundance Style Through the Years Posted: 20 Jan 2013 12:30 PM PST This week Hollywood converges on the ritzy slopes of Park City, Utah for the annual Sundance Film Festival. Jessica Biel, Amanda Seyfried, Kristen Bell and Reese Witherspoon, are among the stylish stars we’re excited to see in Park City this week. This year’s festival will also be home to a few fashionable red carpet reunions, with Mad Men stars January Jones and Elizabeth Moss each showing films, and American Idol alums Jennifer Hudson and Jordin Sparks starring in a flick together. Of course, what we're really dying to see is the fashion — and Sundance’s red carpets are like none other. Forget spray tans and gowns and six-inch stilettos, Park City’s snowy slopes call for a different dress code.
Sundance is kinda like seeing your teacher on the weekend — but about a million times more exciting. It's the rare chance to see our favorite actors dressed down in jeans, sweaters, earmuffs and puffy jackets. Most of them will also be carrying Sundance's number one accessory — a cup of coffee. In honor of the Sundance style that's about to hit this week, we're taking a look back at how stars have braved the cold in style over the years. There's Naomi Watts looking cozy, Paris Hilton channeling the ’80s and Rashida Jones in moon boots, among some of the festival flashback eye-candy. Look back at Sundance Film Festival fashion over the years here. Which star’s Sundance style was your fave? Catch up on the latest from this year’s Sundance Film Festival in the video below. ‘Shahs of Sunset’ Star MJ: Pill-Popping Accusations Were Hurtful and Untrue (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO) Posted: 18 Jan 2013 01:04 PM PST On a recent episode of Shahs of Sunset, star Mercedes “MJ” Javid did something rarely seen on reality television: She learned to forgive and forget. It was a tough act to get through, especially when your friends are accusing you of pill-popping. But as she tells Celebuzz, she did it for a reason. “I was very forgiving, because I thought, ‘How is the rest of this day going to play out if I just stick to how I was just wronged and accused of being a pill popper?’” Javid said in our exclusive video chat. “I just thought if I just put it aside for right now, there’s a lot to gain from being a forgiving person. But I can’t say that it was easy to come back and watch [the episode].” In fact, Javid says she’ll get a second chance to air her thoughts on season 2′s just-confirmed reunion special.
“The reunion is definitely going to be a place to speak on behalf on the things that happened when I wasn’t there,” she said. Most of the things that Reza and Asa and Lilly did was when I was not even present. So I watched it with the rest of the world for the first time.” “It made me really sad,” she added. “It was really hurtful, and it made me feel like the people in my life that are supposed to be the closest people have really let me down. It made me angry because the accusations are so untrue and hurtful and damaging that I just have to set my own example to contrast their false accusations.”Shahs of Sunset airs Sunday nights at 9/8c on Bravo. For more on our video interview, watch it now, above. |
Inauguration Fashion: Sasha and Malia Obama’s Style Through the Years (PHOTOS) Posted: 20 Jan 2013 12:29 PM PST Here's to four more years . . . of Sasha and Malia Obama's amazing outfits. On Monday, the young fashionistas will join their father, President Barack Obama, as he officially gets sworn in at his second inauguration at the National Mall. All fashion eyes will no doubt be on the first lady, Michelle Obama, and the outfits she will wear at the inauguration events, including the glamorous inaugural ball the following day. The same eyes will also be on Sasha and Malia, 11 and 14, respectively. Since their stylish J.Crew coats worn during the president's first inauguration four years ago, the Obama girls have developed into their own individual styles.
Sasha, who was only seven years old when her father officially took office in 2009, has progressed from a sweet and fun look to a bold and preppy style, all while remaining within the boundaries of her pre-teen age. Malia, on the other hand, has quickly taken after her mother's style: classy, subtle and chic. Over the years, the girls have donned nearly every shade of the rainbow, and have never been afraid to try on new fabrics, cuts or layers. They're also not afraid to repeat outfits or accessories. Sasha's giant tote back adorned with a heart-shaped American flag has been spotted on numerous occasions. Her black-and-blue blazer, first worn at the 2011 turkey pardon ceremony at the White House, was spotted five months later at an Easter reading. It comes in red too. And just like any other sibling groupings, Sasha has worn some hand-me-downs from her big sister. Last November, the younger Obama donned a Chris Benz gemstone green skirt to celebrate her father's big election victory. Malia first wore the skirt nearly two years ago at a White House State Dinner. As thousands gather at National Mall and in front of their televisions on Monday, get ready for new and familiar designer names, inauguration outfits and new trends. Check out our gallery, above, for some of the best outfits worn by Sasha and Malia Obama in recent years. What do you think of their style? Weigh in below. |
This Week in Celebrity Twitpics (PHOTOS) Posted: 20 Jan 2013 12:30 PM PST Celebuzz is rounding up another week in Celebrity Twitpics. Justin Bieber got fresh ink this week — only this time it’s roman numerals. His new tattoo, not to be confused with the roman numerals that his ex Selena Gomez also had tattooed on the back of her neck a while back, is near the Biebs’ collarbone.
The recently-single Taylor Swift treated her Twitter followers to a snapshot of her studio, where she was most likely writing new tunes about One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles. How many songs do you think Styles will inspire on the country singer’s next album? Kim Kardashian got a sneak peek into motherhood this week when she was babysitting some children of family friends. The 32-year-old pregnant reality TV star posted a Twitpic of herself being jumped on by her little friends. Kardashian, who is expecting her first child with Kanye West, is due this summer. Stephenie Meyer on Life After ‘Twilight’: There’s No Screaming Posted: 19 Jan 2013 01:29 PM PST Some two months after the release of the fifth and final Twilight film, Stephenie Meyer is quite enjoying herself. On Friday, the author of the popular book series of the same name found herself at her first ever Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. "It's so much more relaxed," Meyer told Celebuzz on the red carpet for her new project, Austenland. "This is kind of cool, a lot of cool people. Everybody's just really mellow. No screaming. I like it. I can just sit here and talk to you without shouting."
The 39-year-old author, who serves as a producer for the film adaptation of the 2007 novel, was joined at the Austenland premiere event by author Shannon Hale and the film's stars Keri Russell, Jane Seymour and Bret McKenzie. Meyer, who gives the Twilight film franchise plenty of credit for opening doors to the world of indie filmmaking, said she's going to keep things on the small side for the time being."With my little production company, what we want to do is make books into movies — books we love — involve the authors, get them in the center of it," she said. Until her next small project, Meyer has one more feature to release, though it probably won't cause any Edward or Jacob-inspired screams. The film adaptation of her other bestselling novel, The Host, opens in March. What has your life been like after the last Twilight film? Weigh in below. |
