Celebrity Cheerleaders Celebrity Cheerleaders Celebrity Cheerleaders Celebrity Cheerleaders Celebrity Cheerleaders Celebrity Cheerleaders

What do Snooki, Jessica Simpson and Kylie and Kendall Jenner all have in common?

Besides their history with reality TV — all four ladies have at one point or another shouted cheers from the bleachers, the field or on top of the pyramid, with pom poms in tow.

As San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens fans across the country count down the last hours until kick off, Celebuzz is taking a trip down memory lane — and in some cases, right into some stars' yearbook pages.

Long before she took home the Golden Globe, Screen Actors Guild (and come Feb. 24, maybe Oscar?) for Best Actress, Silver Linings Playbook star Jennifer Lawrence donned a cheer outfit for Kammerer Middle School as a seventh grader in Louisville, KY.

Before making her mark in the soap opera world and eventually, the Live! stage, Kelly Ripa cheered for Eastern Regional High School in Voorhees, New Jersey.

Blake Lively spent her senior year at Burbank High School cheering for the home team in blue, white and black.

Dakota Fanning, Megan Fox and Olivia Munn were also cheerleaders way back when.

Check out the gallery, above for photos of celebrities in their cheerleading uniforms. Did we miss anyone on the list? Weigh in below.

Zombies Rule: ‘Warm Bodies’ Tops Box Office With $20M

Posted: 03 Feb 2013 11:19 AM PST

Nicholas Hoult Nicholas Hoult

Moviegoers showed plenty of love for the new zombie romantic comedy Warm Bodies this weekend, as the film grossed some $20 million to take top honors at the box office.

The picture, starring Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer, beat out last weekend's no. 1 movie Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, while Silver Linings Playbook continues to inch closer to the $100 million mark, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Unfortunately for Sylvester Stallone, his new release Bullet to the Head did not have a very good weekend. Based on a French graphic novel about a hit man who partners up with a detective, Bullet grossed $4.5 million, just shy of finishing in the top five.

Oscar heavyweights Zero Dark Thirty, Django Unchained, Les Miserables and Lincoln each enjoyed another strong weekend, with Steven Spielberg's film surpassing the $170 million mark.

Last week, Celebuzz spoke to Hoult about Warm Bodies‘ unique genre.

"It could have easily got ridiculous and become a parody . . . I think it's finding that right balance, which [director Jonathan Levine] is really good at doing with all of his films,” he said.

"Eventually oyu've just got to give it a go and hope for the best. And it was a really fun set to work on — we had really great actors like Teresa and Rob [Corddry]."

Kelly Bensimon: I Have No Issues With Bethenny Frankel (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

Posted: 03 Feb 2013 10:41 AM PST

Kelly Bensimon wants to clear the air: she was just doing her job as a reality TV star.

For three seasons, the author, jewelry designer and former model duked it out with her Real Housewives of New York cast mates, including Bethenny Frankel. One of their epic showdowns still stands as one of the series’ highest-rated episodes.

"We were cast mates on a television show, I have absolutely no issues with her," Bensimon told Celebuzz on Saturday at the 2013 Kettleball Kickboxing Fitness Gala in New York City.

"They asked me to blast her . . . I got paid, and I did. That doesn't mean I don't like her, it's just like, that's what you do."

Bensimon also opened up about Frankel's recent divorce from Jason Hoppy.

"I obviously empathize with everyone that's going through a horrible time, especially a divorce," she said.

"It's a very, very difficult time."

The Rockford, Ill. native also gave her opinion on reality TV and what she had to fight for on Housewives.

"Coming to New York was such a big dream for me, and I really didn't like how they were shattering these dreams on how awesome New York was. I was very proactive about making it clear that New York is an amazing city and women are not like [The Real Housewives] in New York."

Frank Ocean: ‘Forgiveness, Albeit Difficult, is Wisdom’

Posted: 03 Feb 2013 09:08 AM PST

Frank Ocean has chosen "peace" over payback.

Nearly one week after his alleged scuffle with Chris Brown in a Los Angeles parking lot, Ocean confirmed on his Tumblr late Saturday night that he won't be looking for justice after all.

"As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer," he wrote in capital letters.

"I'm an artist and a modern person. I'll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace."

Following the Jan. 27 incident, which involved six people, L.A. County Sherriff spokesman Steve Whitmore confirmed that Ocean, 25, "is desirous of prosecution in this incident."

Brown, 24, still has one year left in his five-year probation from his 2009 assault on Rihanna.

But as HLN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell said earlier this week, the singer will probably avoid jail time.

"We all know that when big stars violate their probation, if they have high-powered attorneys, they seem to get away without spending any significant time behind bars, if they even visit a jail . . . we do have a two-tiered criminal justice system in this country, one for all of us and one for the rich and famous."

Ocean is scheduled to perform at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 10.

What do you think of Frank Ocean's announcement? Do you think he made the right decision?

Beyonce Knowles: A Look Back at Her 10 Best Live Performances (VIDEOS)

Posted: 03 Feb 2013 07:53 AM PST

Okay, so maybe Beyonce didn’t sing the National Anthem live at Barack Obama’s Presidential Inauguration this month.

But anybody who has so much as paid one second of attention to Beyonce’s career knows the girl can sing live better than most. (Heck, she put everyone in their places on Thursday when she sang the tune again, live, at her Super Bowl press conference.)

And with her big night just hours away, and since she confirmed she “absolutely” will be singing live, Celebuzz thought today would be the first time to take a look back at the Grammy-winning legend’s many out-of-the-park live performances, whether in concert, on television or simply in her dressing room. (Yep, she’s that good.)

Have a look at them, below, then share yours in the comments.

1.) Glastonbury, 2011

In 2011, Beyonce made history by becoming the first woman to perform on Glastonbury’s main pyramid stage. Naturally, the results were pretty epic.

2.) Hope for Haiti, 2010

As Haiti struggled to recover from a devastating earthquake in 2010, Beyonce lent her voice to a star-studded Hope for Haiti telethon, during which she sang a slowed-down version of her hit song ‘Halo.’

3.) MTV Video Music Awards, 2009

How do you top recording a career-defining song like ‘Single Ladies’? You slay it live, dance moves and all. Which is exactly what Beyonce did at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

4.) Roseland, 2011

To promote her new CD ’4,’ Beyonce performed four-consecutive nights at the intimate Roseland Ballroom in New York City. The 2011 concert sold out quickly, and included such celebrity attendees as Lady Gaga and Jennifer Hudson.

5.) ’1+1,’ 2011

Husband Jay-Z captured this intimate and stunning clip of Beyonce rehearsing ’1+1′ just before the ‘American Idol’ finale, which became further proof that she doesn’t need a big stage or fancy costumes to knock it out of the park.

6.) ‘Dangerously in Love,’ 2004

Beyonce officially became queen of the Grammys when she performed the title track off her debut CD, ‘Dangerously in Love,’ in 2004.

7.) ‘Love on Top,’ 2011

At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, Beyonce stunned the world when she announced she was pregnant with her first child. She later celebrated the occasion with an epic performance of ‘Love on Top,’ after which she rubbed her baby bump for all the world to see.

8.) ‘Run the World (Girls),’ 2011

Well, Matthew Morrison certainly approved of this one.

9.) ‘Ring the Alarm,’ 2006

Beyonce basically caused five-alarm fires around the world with this insanely awesome rendition of ‘Ring the Alarm’ at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards.

10.) ‘Star Spangled Banner,’ 2013

And this is how you silence your critics:

‘Smash’ Star Megan Hilty: I’m Learning How to Fight (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

Posted: 03 Feb 2013 10:27 AM PST

Megan Hilty is one tough cookie. And she's only getting tougher.

With a busy work schedule and a new album on the way, how does the 31-year-old make time for workouts?

"That's what [my trainer] Dashais for . . . I don't have a set routine where I can go to the gym," Hilty told Celebuzz on Saturday in New York City.

The Smash star played host to the 2013 Kettleball Kickboxing Fitness Gala, where she praised her trainer Dasha Libin.

"She's kind enough to come to my apartment and teach me new things ever week. She's teaching me how to fight. She's teaching me Muay Thai."

Can Hilty fans look forward to seeing the star in the kickboxing ring?

"I'm not looking for a fight but if someone was threatening me, at least I feel like I could handle myself," she said.

As for workouts in general, Hilty is a sucker for getting new outfits.

"I feel like if you look good, that'll just make you feel good and inspired to get to the gym."

Hilty's new album, It Happens All The Time, drops Mar. 12.

Justin Timberlake Suits Up for the Super Bowl (PHOTOS & VIDEO)

Posted: 03 Feb 2013 10:30 AM PST

Justin Timberlake showed the crowd a few things on Saturday, as he hit the stage decked out in — what else — a suit and tie.

The 32-year-old got back into the swing of things as the featured performer for DirecTV's Super Saturday Night concert in New Orleans, one day before Super Bowl XLVII and Beyonce's halftime show.

During his set, Timberlake performed a few oldies but goodies, as well as his hot new single "Suit & Tie," which brought out Bey's hubby Jay-Z. (Take note: he was not wearing a full suit).

JT also delivered two brand new songs, “Little Pusher Love Girl” and “That Girl,” before inviting another special guest Timbaland, for a performance of “SexyBack.”

The show attracted a bevy of famous spectators, including Will Ferrell, Sir Paul McCartney, Hayden Panettiere, David Arquette, Matt Bomer, Questlove, Sofia Vergara and Kate Upton.

JT fans are patiently waiting for the release of the singer's official music video for "Suit & Tie," which will be directed by his Social Network boss David Fincher.

Timberlake's third studio album, The 20/20 Experience, drops Mar. 19.

Check out the video and photos above, for Justin Timberlake's return to the stage.

Who’s Rooting for the 49ers and the Ravens?

Posted: 03 Feb 2013 06:18 AM PST

As Beyonce fans count down the hours until her highly anticipated Super Bowl half time show, the rest of the country — 49ers and Ravens fans — will be glued to the their television sets to see who will come out on top.

Baltimore Ravens fans like Stacy Keibler, will be cheering extra hard — she’s a former Ravens cheerleader, by the way — as the team makes its first Super Bowl appearance in 12 years.

After several days of concerts, parties and charity games, it’s time to take a closer look at the famous fans of Sunday’s opposing teams.

Boston native Ben Affleck has never hidden the fact that he is a big supporter of all of Beantown’s sports teams. But he won't be rooting for either team during Super Bowl XLVII — the New England Patriots won’t be playing. Hopefully, he will support his wife Jennifer Garner, who has been a 49ers fan since she was a child.

Josh Charles from The Good Wife is a big fan of the Ravens. A graduate of the Baltimore School of the Arts, Charles has even taken a trip to hang out at the team's training complex.

Funnyman Robin Williams has major enthusiasm for the San Francisco 49ers: he lives in San Francisco and owns property all over the Bay Area. Sourdough Sam, the 49ers mascot, has previously named Williams as his favorite actor.

Baltimore born Edward Norton can always be seen sporting a cap from his home team — the Fight Club star will be rooting for the Ravens.

Some other celebs that should be sporting red and gold for the 49ers are these San Francisco natives:

Leslie MannDarren CrissAlicia Silverstone, Eric Dane, Rob Schneider and Clint Eastwood.

On the opposing side these celebs could be wearing purple and gold for Ravens to win Super Bowl Sunday.  Anna Faris, Julie BowenPenn Badgley and  Jada Pinkett Smith are all Baltimore natives.

Will you be tuning into Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday? Who are you rooting for? Weigh in below.

‘Shahs of Sunset’ Star Mike Shouhed: I ‘Feel Really Strongly’ About Girlfriend Jessica (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

Posted: 03 Feb 2013 10:27 AM PST

Introducing your loved one to your parents is never an easy task. Just ask Shahs of Sunset star Mike Shouhed, who did exactly that on a recent episode of the hit Bravo series.

But despite the game of 20 questions that transpired, Mike and his girlfriend, Jessica, survived rather well. In fact, he tells Celebuzz their relationship remains strong to this day.

“The relationship is going really well. It’s really cool. It’s evolving, and I’m really excited about it,” he said in a recent sit down interview.

But is she someone he’s ready to settle down with? Maybe.

“I really don’t know yet … Life is taking me in a lot of different directions, so we’ll see,” he said. “But she’s definitely someone I feel very strongly about.

At the very least, Jessica has approval from Mike’s mother.

“[She told me], ‘She’s the most decent girl you’ve brought to me.’ Which is a huge compliment, I guess, for a Persian mom. [Laughs]”

“She’s more than decent, mom. Trust me.”

“My mom and her talk. My mom gives her recipes. [Jessica] goes to the Persian market to shop now,” he added.

For more on our interview with Mike Shouhed, watch the video, above.

No, New Orleans isn't hosting a film festival. But from the endless star sightings all weekend long, you'd think Sundance had relocated to the south.

With just over 12 hours to go before kickoff and the start of Super Bowl XLVII, Celebuzz is taking a look at some of the big names that have taken part in football themed parties, charity matches and concerts in the host city.

On Friday night, Channing Tatum was spotted hanging out above the famous Bourbon Street with some pals. Like everyone else, the Side Effects actor held onto a few strings of beads.

From Ian Somerhalder to Katharine McPhee, Neil Patrick Harris to Lil Wayne, the stars showed off their football skills at DIRECTV's 7th annual Celebrity Beach Bowl at the DTV SuperFan Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Super Bowl weekend has also been graced with the presence of supermodels.

Victoria's Secret beauty Candice Swanepoel brought an AXE Astronaut as her date to Friday's Rolling Stone LIVE party at the Bud Light Hotel while Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen hit the field for Saturday's star-studded beach bowl.

In other sightings, Will Ferrell and Anna Faris hammed it up for the cameras at an event presented by Audi while Jeremy Piven put on his serious face during a Super Bowl press conference earlier in the week.

Check out the gallery, above, for the hottest star sightings from Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans. Are you looking forward to Sunday’s match between the Ravens and the 49ers?

Lady Gaga: ‘I’m the Queen of the Universe Every Day’ (PHOTOS)

lady gaga six hour deposition lawsuit quotes lady gaga six hour deposition lawsuit quotes lady gaga six hour deposition lawsuit quotes lady gaga six hour deposition lawsuit quotes lady gaga six hour deposition lawsuit quotes lady gaga six hour deposition lawsuit quotes lady gaga six hour deposition lawsuit quotes

Don't mess with Lady Gaga.

In 2011, former assistant Jennifer O'Neill sued the superstar for more than 7,000 hours of unpaid overtime — an amount she believes totals some $393,000.

According to court documents obtained by Celebuzz, Gaga held nothing back during her six-hour deposition, which was given in August 2012.

"She's just — she thinks she's just like the queen of the universe . . . and, you know what, she didn't want to be a slave to one, because in my work and what I do, I'm the queen of the universe every day,” Gaga said at one point.

O'Neill worked for Gaga from 2009 to 2011, and according to the "Born This Way" singer, was paid a salary of $75,000.

"I'm going to give all the money that she wants to my employees that work hard for me now that deserve it," according to Gaga. "I'm not going to give it to her so she can go to Intermix and buy herself a new tube top."

From multiple mentions of photographer Terry Richardson to her definition of "a good assistant," the lengthy deposition is extremely detailed, but hardly any of the information may come as a shock, considering the lavish life Lady Gaga has been living since skyrocketing to superstardom.

For example, Gaga said at one point: "I can't walk down the street and go buy myself toiletries, I've got to call Jen or now I got to call Wendi [her other assistant], I've got to get a whole bunch of people together to help me fix the problem, which wouldn't happen if she was doing her job properly on regular days.

Click through the gallery above for the best Gaga quotes from her deposition. Then tell us: would you ever work as an assistant for a superstar as big as Lady Gaga? Have you ever had a similar job?

Alana Stewart Remembers Farrah Fawcett: I Think About Her Every Day

Posted: 02 Feb 2013 01:49 PM PST

Farrah Fawcett would have celebrated her 66th birthday today.

The iconic actress and model with the famous megawatt smile died of cancer on June 25, 2009, with her partner Ryan O'Neal and her best friend Alana Stewart by her side.

"I still think about Farrah every day — she remains an inspiration to both myself and a lot of other people who knew her," Stewart told Celebuzz exclusively.

Stewart, 67, who helps run The Farah Fawcett Foundationmisses her dear friend and the memorable birthday parties she used to host for her every year.

And she will talk to Fawcett’s longtime love O'Neal today about the woman who played such an important part in both their lives.

"I will speak with Ryan to reflect with him on Farrah. We both really miss not being able to celebrate her birthday with her," revealed Stewart, who was married to rock legend Rod Stewart, with whom she has two children, Kimberly, 33, and Sean, 32, who happens to be dating much-older Beverly Hills housewife Adrienne Maloof, 51. She also has a son Ashley Hamilton, 38, with ex-husband, actor George Hamilton.

"Farrah used to love the birthday parties I would throw for her because she really liked to have fun and knew how to enjoy herself.”

And there are two things Stewart will never forget about her BFF.

“I miss her sense of fun and the conversations and companionship we shared. She was truly a great and loyal friend,” she added.

"Both Ryan and their son Redmond O'Neal are doing well just now and Farrah would be really happy about that. But the reality is that we all still really miss her."

Both Stewart and O'Neal combined to produce Farrah's Story over three years ago that documented the TV star’s brave battle with cancer — and was watched by nearly nine million viewers when it aired on NBC.

Stewart has continued to celebrate her friend's life through The Farah Fawcett Foundation that has helped to fund much-needed work in the field of cancer research.

"The foundation is a living testimony to what a brave person Farrah Fawcett was and we are using that memory to continue the fight against the disease that took my friend and that has affected so many other millions of other people."

Today, the Alex and Ani store at 150 Worth Avenue, Suite 119, in Palm Beach, Florida, will co-host a Charmed By Charity shopping event in Palm Beach to mark Fawcett’s birthday anniversary and to benefit The Farrah Fawcett Foundation.

Armani Beauty celebrity makeup artist Tim Quinn, a cancer survivor who had worked with Fawcett over the years, will co-host the event.

For more information or to RSVP, call 561-837-6497 or e-mail worthave@alexandani.com.
