Bare Necessities: Celebs Who Aren’t Afraid Of Being Overexposed

Posted: 19 Feb 2013 01:11 PM PST

Some stars aren’t afraid to bare it all.

It’s no secret that certain celebs love crossing the line when it comes to revealing looks, whether they’re working the red carpet or posing for a photo shoot.

Most recently, supermodel Kate Upton stole the spotlight with her risque swimsuit spread for Sports Illustrated. Gracing the annual edition’s cover for a second year in a row, Upton worked the cameras in nothing but body paint for the magazine’s 50th anniversary issue.

“I was happy to take off my swimsuit for a little warm weather,” she said in a behind-the-scenes video.

And it looks like Upton isn’t the only model ready to show off her assets. Miranda Kerr took off her top to model the latest fashion trends for French magazine, Jalouse. In the photos, the model mom posed topless while sporting a floor-length Louis Vuitton skirt, Saint Laurent hat and Chanel pearls.

From body paint to barely there bikinis, Hollywood’s hottest are showing some skin in more ways than one. Just look at celebs like Jennifer Love Hewitt, Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus — who’ve all made headlines with their eye-catching ensembles these past couple of weeks.

Who else has showed too much celebrity skin? Celebuzz has compiled a list of the sexiest stars baring it all in public — launch the gallery to take a look at them. Then tell us: Who’s the sexiest of them all? And who do you think is overexposed?

Kelly Clarkson Trashes Clive Davis In Scathing Open Letter

Posted: 19 Feb 2013 12:57 PM PST

Kelly Clarkson is once again taking aim at Clive Davis — this time, over the record mogul’s new memoir, The Soundtrack of My Life, which she claims falsely portrays their heated relationship.

“I refuse to be bullied and I just have to clear up his memory lapses and misinformation for myself and for my fans. It feels like a violation. Growing up is awesome because you learn you don’t have to cower to anyone – even Clive Davis,” Clarkson wrote in a scathing blog post, published on Tuesday.

Clarkson’s beef with Davis first hit the press in 2007 upon the release of her CD, My December. At the time, Clarkson alleged that Davis wanted to shelve the album until it could be redone with a more pop-friendly sound.

In fact, according to an Elle magazine profile, Davis offered Clarkson $10 million to record five new songs, including one that wound up on a Lindsay Lohan CD. (Naturally, she declined.)

But according to Clarkson’s letter, their feud dates all the way back to her biggest hit, Since U Been Gone.

“First, he says I burst into ‘hysterical sobbing’ in his office when he demanded Since You Been Gone be on my album,” she writes. “Not true at all. His stories and songs are mixed up. I did want more guitars added to the original demo and Clive did not. Max, Luke and I still fought for the bigger sound and we prevailed and I couldn’t be more proud of the life of that song. I resent him dampening that song in any way.”

“But, yes, I did cry in his office once,” Clarkson, 30, continues. “I cried after I played him a song I had written about my life called ‘Because of You.’ I cried because he hated it and told me verbatim that I was a ‘sh*tty writer who should be grateful for the gifts that he bestows upon me.’ He continued on about how the song didn’t rhyme and how I should just shut up and sing. This was devastating coming from a man who I, as a young girl, considered a musical hero and was so honored to work with.”

“But I continued to fight for the song and the label relented. And it became a worldwide hit. He didn’t include that in the book.”

The letter continues to detail the fallout over My December, which ultimately led Clarkson to switch managers.

“My December was an album I needed to make for myself for many reasons and the fact that I was so completely disregarded and disrespected was so disheartening, there really aren’t words to explain …” She writes.

Xtina Finally Ditches Beverly Hills Mansion (PHOTOS)

Posted: 19 Feb 2013 12:52 PM PST

At last!

Christina Aguilera has finally sold the Beverly Hills mansion that she shared with ex-husband Jordan Bratman after the pad spent two years on the market.

The 10,000-square-foot abode, which was originally owned by the Osbourne family, was sold for its original listing price of $13 million.

The six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home is custom decorated to fit The Voice mentor’s personal style. Ornate light fixtures, bold-colored walls and a pink pool table all suit Aguilera but possibly made it challenging to sell.

The Gothic-themed home included many amenities that are common within swanky neighborhood homes, like a movie theater, gym, and a gift-wrapping room.

Aguilera, 32, bought the property in March of 2011 for $11.5 million and immediately began making renovations. Most notably, she added a beauty salon.

Skinny Girl Goes Down Under (PHOTOS)

Posted: 19 Feb 2013 11:25 AM PST

Hotter after heartbreak indeed.

Some two months after filing for divorce from Jason Hoppy, Bethenny Frankel (and her amazing bikini body) has been spotted in Australia.

On Monday, the 42-year-old mother of one spent the day at the famous Bondi Beach, soaking up the sun and trying her hand at surfing.

"I'm in love with Sydney. The weather is beautiful, the people are lovely and I am just so thrilled to be here," the Skinny Girl founder tweeted over the weekend.

Where was Frankel’s sidekick, 2-year-old daughter Bryn? Back home in New York City.

"I felt it was too long a flight for her :(" Frankel explained to her more than 1 million followers.

After a difficult past few months, Frankel seemed to be in good spirits during her beach vacation.

In January, Frankel, who was married to Hoppy for nearly three years, opened up about her split on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"Do I want to be doing this exact thing right now? No, but I can't just only be on reality TV and show everything when it's fairy princess, fairytale and then not take my hits when I have to," she said. "I've kind of had the best worst year ever."

"I feel like a failure. I really put it out there. I wanted the fairytale . . . I thought I had it. And Bryn is my fairytale," she added.

Check out the gallery for photos of Bethenny Frankel vacationing in Australia.

How Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Turned ‘Full House’ Into A Global Empire

Posted: 19 Feb 2013 10:21 AM PST

Successfully breaking out of the typecasting trap that so often plagues child stars, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have morphed into style icons over the last decade.

Amassing a fashion powerhouse, the Olsens – - who rank No. 7 on Celebuzz’s Hollywood Power Index – have launched multiple lines like Olsenboye for JCPenney, Elizabeth and James, StyleMint and the high-end label The Row, which counts A-list fans like First Lady Michelle Obama.

At 26, the famous sisters have built a billion-dollar empire and found grown-up respectability in the world of high-fashion. In the past year alone, the duo has scored major accolades as designers, including a spot on Forbes’ list of the 30 most influential fashion moguls.

"Running a fashion company, it's just as important to understand numbers as it is to have a design point of view," Mary-Kate recently told Newsweek.

The twins empire continues to expand in new directions. Last month, the sisters forayed into the world of art by teaming up with renowned pop artist Damien Hirst to create a $55,000 limited edition crocodile handbag studded with prescription pills for the gallery-boutique Just One Eye.

Next up?

The Olsen’s will expand their retail empire with the debut of a new fragrance collaboration under their Elizabeth and James brand.

So, what do our top experts have to say about the Olsen’s continuing rise to power? Check out the video above to find out.

‘Cult’ Star Matt Davis Breaks Down His New Series

Posted: 19 Feb 2013 08:46 AM PST

Cult Matt Davis

The CW’s newest midseason drama, Cult, takes a stab at obsessive fandoms, a “show within a show,” and even the online world of investigative journalism.

"The premise is my brother's gone missing in this cult, and it has something to do with this television show that's called ‘Cult,’ as well,” star Matt Davis told Celebuzz on-set of the thriller. “[My character] Jeff is trying to figure out what the tie is, and the more he discovers, the deeper he goes. It's that sort of twisty, turny rabbit hole of bizarre deception and betrayal all along the way," Davis said.

The show-within-the-show, Cult, has only been on-air for a handful of episodes, but it has already started a phenomenon with fans who eagerly devour each new episode, looking for clues as to the mystery of Billy Grimm (Robert Knepper) and his disciples on-air, as well as how the real world may be influenced by what is going on in the show.

Jeff's brother is one of these fans, but he has had some trouble with compulsive behavior before, so Jeff doesn't take his new obsession all that seriously. It is just TV, after all, right? But when his brother goes missing, leaving behind a notebook full of complicated secrets, Jeff starts to see some correlation between his brother's disappearance and the show after all.

"He's skeptical, but so much happens that it's impossible to remain skeptical, so he quickly gives into the notion that this is true. He's one of the few people who sees it and has to warn the others that it's true, while they look at him like he's crazy. He's constantly aware that it's crazy to try to talk to anyone outside of what's going on. He quickly buys into the true believer of it all," Davis said.

Jeff really only has one ally in his quest to find his brother, which "is the driving force behind the narrative" of the season, per Davis. The creator of the show is an "enigma," unseen, unheard from unless he's sending down new pages. The actors on the show within the show seem to be in the dark — at least at first. Even the cops he comes into contact with give him the run-around (and one has the creepy Cult tattoo). Skye (Jessica Lucas) is a young production assistant on Cult, and though she has some secrets of her own, Davis shared that Jeff and Skye really can trust each other, and that is not something that the show treats lightly.

"In the second episode, after the pilot, there's a big scene in which it dawns on him that everything he knows about the show has been through her, and all that comes to a head. He confronts her, and she finally admits to him why she's doing this and what she has at stake in this," Davis said.

"Everyone you meet is always a suspect. They do have allies that they meet along the road, but there's always that notion of how much they can trust them."

Cult premieres Tuesday at 9PM on The CW. You can also watch it early at CWTV.com.

RyGos’ Trainer Dishes Diet And Fitness Secrets

Posted: 19 Feb 2013 01:11 PM PST

The woman who helped create Ryan Gosling‘s insanely killer bod speaks candidly to Celebuzz about a career training A-List talent; how she pushed the Gangster Squad star to peak physical condition — and how she once confiscated Christina Aguilera‘s mini bar.

Celebuzz: Training the gorgeous Ryan Gosling must be the best job in the industry. Was it as good as it sounds?
Ashley Borden: Ryan's very consistent, he works hard. Yes, he's got a very good body.

CB: What kind of food does Ryan eat?
AB: When I was training Ryan he was on a very high calorie diet. He was in the middle of bulking up for a movie role, you see. Ryan was eating, eating, eating, but he was eating whole foods. Good food from the ground, like real food! Oatmeal, protein, vegetables, fruit, as opposed to crap. Hamburgers every once in a while are fine. But Ryan was a clean eater!

CB: What film role he was bulking up for?
AB: Ryan was bulking up for a film is he was attached to about a wrestler. It was interesting to train him for that role because it wasn't a role where he had to just look good with his shirt off, he had to look and perform like a sportsman. And his body had to withstand injury.

CB: Tell us about Ryan Gosling's work-out regime?
AB: We were building Ryan's movement patterns. So we go over your forward reverse lunges, I watch you do push-ups and pull-ups. What that means is I'm looking to see if you're in your gluts, or anywhere, then we start a personalized training plan. I'd say Ryan is probably the most consistent with his training.

CB: Where does Ryan work out?
AB: We always worked out in a gym, when Ryan is in town he always goes to the same place. He has a number of trainers, he works with Aaron who is a super cool guy who does his strength training.

CB: How did you get Ryan in fighting shape?
AB: We would start with a full-body warm up and then we do what's called 'rolling out', you roll out your whole body before you train with a foam roller. We'd do a lot of dumbbell work, lots of lifting, and then some reverse lunges. Ryan uses a lot of resistance bands, so he's pulling on those, building up strength. The key to Ryan's physique is core strength, so we'd do a lot of work on that—including wearing a weighted vest. He'd wear a 10lb-weighted vest while working out. He was being trained to be an athlete.

CB: How long did you work with him?
AB: It was for about six months, unfortunately the movie wasn't made in the end.

CB: Does he get why people think he's hot or does it baffle him…?
AB: Ryan's an incredibly down to earth guy, he doesn't act like a star—I mean, I'm working with him, so he acts like all of my clients, we get down to business, we sweat, I'd never ask about personal stuff.

CB: Tell us about the sweating!
AB: Yes, Ryan Gosling sweats when he works out! I hate to break it to you, but he's a normal human being and he does sweat when he works out. He works hard in the gym, yes, he sweats his ass off!

CB: Does he get lots of admiring glances from onlookers when they're working out?
AB: He likes to work out at the same place, it's an LA gym where lots of celebrities and 'industry people' go, so he never gets mobbed. LA is too cool for that, it's cooler to ignore a celebrity than ask for an autograph. It's never happened.

CB: Was Christina Aguilera a diva to work with? We can't imagine her sweating away in the gym…
AB: Christina is the hugest celebrity I ever worked with. I trained her from when she was 19 to 23. During the Stripped tour… At that time, we were just getting her in shape and putting on some muscle. Explaining nutrition to her in a way that she could absorb it was important, because at the time she…ate like a 13 year who's parents were out of town!

CB: Where did you start with Christina?
AB: I just introduced her into eating healthier, but she was not interested! But she worked hard when she was on tour, and we were getting her ready for music videos and for tours. It was my job to manage her food…and drink. I ordered all the mini bars in the hotels to be cleared before she got to the hotel room. When she ordered room service—the kitchen was told me to check with me before delivering it.

CB: Is that normal, to get your clients off the booze when you're training them?
AB: I take all the booze away from clients if I'm on the road with them. On tour, no client can order food without my knowing about it. I basically treat people the way I want to be treated and train the way I'd want to be trained.

CB: How did you get into the training business?
AB: Well, I grew up in a highly active, fitness health family. My mom owned health food stores, my dad owned sporting good stores, my mom was a marathon runner, and my dad was into athletics. I was into Jazz dancing growing up, but I always thought I was a terrible athlete. I moved to LA when I was a dancer at 18 or 19 and I was always into fitness, but I had a terrible eating disorder for many years, starting when I was about 8 years old and hit rock bottom in '90.

CB: How did you recover your disorder?
AB: I went into treatment right before I graduated from high school. I decided I wasn't going to die from my health, I was gonna die from my head. So that's what I wanted to fix. When I got out of treatment I was acting. I had done commercial work and I had done stand up comedy too, but there was something missing, something to fill my soul and when I got out of treatment I realized training was what I want to do.

CB: You always read about female celebrities who claim they don't work out, they just 'walk their dog' or 'do a little yoga'. Is that true?
AB: Some people don't train; there are some really lucky genetic celebrities…but no one I've worked with. To look like a celebrity you have to work hard. Halle Barry works the hardest. She was at Gold's gym when I was at Gold's gym. But Halle trains and I do know her and she looks amazing. And some celebrities do give props to the people they train with. I admit, I have worked with some people and they just say "something's just shifted in my life," and I'm like, 'I practically lived at your house for six months!' That's what shifted!

CB: Did you always want to train celebrities?
AB: No! And most of my clients are regular people! I get 100's of emails a year from trainers all over the world asking me how to train celebrities and I usually say, 'you should find another profession, because you go into training because you want to help people.' It's true though, my celebrity business helps the rest of my business…but remember celebrities, they're not any different than us.

CB: What makes you different to other trainers?
AB: I specialize in Myofascial release, which is sexier than it sounds. I use a foam roller to give a deep tissue massage. You roll out your whole body before you train. The rolling out opens up your muscles and provides you with more blood flow in general… So like your quads, you can do your IT bands… This is the prep for everybody. The rolling out is really good for reducing cellulite. Because some women don't care about mobility, they just want to get rid of their cellulite.

CB: Do your friends think you have the best job in the world?
AB: Sometimes. But I'm not bowled over by celebrities; I was only bowled over by Cesar Milan, the dog whisperer! He worked with my dogs… It was like I met Jesus!

Meet Courtney Stodden’s Wacky Long-Lost Sister, Courtina (VIDEO)

Posted: 19 Feb 2013 01:11 PM PST

If you thought the whole Sasha Fierce thing was weird, then you may want to avoid meeting Courtina, the uniquely bizarre alter-ego of infamous teen bride Courtney Stodden.

In a video posted to YouTube over the weekend, an accent-heavy Courtina tells a long-winded, articulate story about how she came to find out that she and Stodden were actually related.

“One day I go to drug store and I pick up magazine. I flip through and all the sudden I see me. But no, no me.”

“She had blonde hair. I do not have blonde hair. I have brown hair. So, that’s the only difference.”

With that cleared up, the brunette bombshell goes on to explain how she actually got in touch with Stodden and how she was flown to Hollywood to hang out in her house, play with her dog, Dourtney, and record weird videos to send out to YouTube.

Little else is actually revealed about Courtina. Her accent is presumably Russian, but it sort of peters out in certain takes, and at times she sounds like she’s either Chinese-American or from the Bronx.

Either way, if she’s related to Courtney Stodden, clearly something is happening.

Check out Courtina’s introduction to the world in the video, above.

Stodden, now 18, became infamous in 2011 when she married 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison at the age of 16. She’s since gone on star in a lot of scantily clad photo shoots and, most recently, her own music video.

Evelyn Lozada Has Advice For Rihanna, Chris Brown

Posted: 18 Feb 2013 09:14 PM PST

Evelyn Lozada gives advice to Rihanna

Evelyn Lozada may not have stood by her man, but she's definitely standing by her woman.

The reality star is coming to the defense of her friend Rihanna since the "Stay" singer made it official that she's back together with controversial ex Chris Brown, the man who infamously and brutally assaulted her in 2009.

"Their incident happened years ago and he's [Chris] been though a lot because of it as well. And if he's changed and gotten the help that he was supposed to get, I don't see anything wrong with it," Lozada told Celebuzz in an exclusive interview.

And Lozada knows all too well what it's like to be involved in a violent relationship.

The Basketball Wives star filed for divorce last September from husband, former football player Chad Johnson, after just 41 days of marriage when he was arrested and charged with battery for hitting her and leaving her with serious head injuries.

But even though her romance ended with her being single again, she says she won’t judge Rihanna for sticking with Brown through thick and thin.

"I feel like if it works for you, then great. If he's gotten help and changed then even better," she said.

"That's her life and I feel like that's another reason why I love and respect Rihanna.

“She doesn't fall into what she thinks that she do for the people. She lives her life,” she added. “It's hard to do that when so many people have an opinion. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Nobody knew that I was dealing with this.

"I hope he's [Chris] changed and he respects her and loves her and obviously will never go down that path again. I think he's learned his lesson."

She also says the public has the wrong perception of the hit R&B maker.

"The misconceptions are that she's just this wild and crazy because that's all people get to see. But I've been with her behind closed doors. She's amazing," Lozada said.

"I mean, this is the same person I see hug and kiss her cleaning lady. She's loving and super super sweet and amazing to me and my daughter,” she added. “I think people put so much pressure being a role model and that's a lot of pressure when you're just trying to live your life."

Still, she does have some advice for Rihanna, should red flags resurface.

"You know the signs and if you see him regressing you know that look in the eye when things go a little left here. My advice would be, 'Hey, if you see the sign you immediately leave.'"

Rihanna, 24, confirmed her reconciliation with Brown, 23, last month in Rolling Stone after months of speculation and mysterious tweets and Instagram photos of the twosome.

And she has no regrets about giving the R&B star a second chance.

"I wasn't going to let anybody's opinion get in the way of that," she told the mag. "Even if it's a mistake, it's my mistake. After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I'd rather just live my truth and take the backlash. I can handle it."

Although Lozada and Johnson aren't on speaking terms at the moment, and won't be getting back together, the 37-year-old mother still holds out hope that, like Brown and Rihanna, they can at least be friends.

Someday, anyway.

"I truly believe people can change,” Lozada said, who’s turned her negative into a positive by channeling her future into a new clothing line and as the face of a new campaign for youthH20.

"I don't have any ill will toward him. I'm not bitter. And I do truly believe that one day we'll be able to be friends, just not right now.”

Do you agree with Lozada’s advice for Rihanna? What do you want to say to Rihanna? Tell us your advice in the comments.
