Adele To Sing Bond Theme Again? Posted: 03 Mar 2013 01:07 PM PST One week after taking Oscar home, Adele is still making big headlines — all thanks to the name James Bond. The Sun is reporting that the 24-year-old singer has been tapped to sing for the next 007 picture starring Daniel Craig, a move that would get her one step closer to matching Dame Shirley Bassey's Bond career. "Producers are thrilled by how well the song has been received and hope Adele's presence on the next film will replicate that success," producers told the paper. Bassey, who also performed at last week's Academy Awards in a tribute to the film franchise, was the voice behind theme songs for Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever and Moonraker. Adele's "Skyfall" for the film of the same name won the Oscar for Best Original Song, bringing her halfway to the coveted EGOT status (for stars who have won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony). On Sunday, the singer shared words of gratitude on Twitter after arriving home in England. "…and we're home! What an epic trip. Thanks for having us Hollywood!" she wrote, along with a picture of her Oscar and a mini statue with the words "Best Son." |

Heidi Klum Joins ‘America’s Got Talent’ As Fourth Judge (REPORT) Posted: 03 Mar 2013 01:08 PM PST Guten Tag, America's Got Talent! TMZ is reporting that Heidi Klum has just been hired as the reality TV show's fourth and final judge for Season 8, which begins filming on Monday. Klum flew to New Orleans on Sunday to join the rest of the judges — Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and fellow new hire, Spice Girls member Melanie Brown AKA Mel B. – for the first round of auditions, NBC sources told the site. While the site says Klum signed on to the show in “last minute” agreement, a photo it acquired from the set already has the Project Runway host’s name emblazoned above her seat. NBC must have felt confident the deal would go through. Klum’s participation marks the first time AGT has had a four-person panel. Klum's newest job comes some six months after Sharon Osbourne announced her exit from the series. Osbourne, who was a judge for six seasons, was replaced by Brown in February. NBC reps didn’t immediately respond to Celebuzz‘s request for confirmation on Klum. The German beauty's TV resume has been lengthy since the launch of Project Runway nearly 10 years ago.
The show kicked off its 11th season on Lifetime in January, with designer Zac Posen replacing Michael Kors as one of the judges. Klum, 39, has also been the face of Germany's Next Top Model since 2006. What do you think of Heidi Klum joining America's Got Talent? Do you think she will be a good judge? Weigh in below. |
‘Jack The Giant Slayer’ Tops Weekend Box Office With $28M Posted: 03 Mar 2013 10:52 AM PST Jack may have won the weekend box office, but it was a relatively quiet one to begin with. The 3D fantasy flick Jack the Giant Slayer grossed some $28 million, beating fellow box office newbies 21 and Over and The Last Exorcism: Part II, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The star-studded flick, starring Nicholas Hoult as the title character, also employs the talents of Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy and Ewan McGregor. Meanwhile Identity Thief continues to hold strong with moviegoers, taking in another $9.7 million to bring its to-date total to $107.4 million.
In third place was 21 and Over, a self-described film courtesy of Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, the brains behind The Hangover script. A Good Day to Die Hard, which opened on top only two weeks ago, dropped like a fly to 9th place, taking in some $4.5 million. Silver Linings Playbook, starring the newly minted Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, is still holding strong with another $5.9 million. The David O. Russell picture has grossed more than $115 million since opening in November. What did you see at the movies this weekend? |
Look: Kate Middleton Takes Baby Bump To Switzerland Posted: 03 Mar 2013 01:07 PM PST The royal baby bump watch continued on Saturday as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge traveled to Switzerland for a friend's wedding. Kate Middleton, who is pregnant with the couple's first child, dressed up her tiny baby bump in a MaxMara Studio frock, cream coat and a dark brown hat with bow detailing. The royal pair, along with Prince Harry, were on hand for the wedding of friend Mark Tomlinson, who wed Olympian Laura Bechtolsheimer in the majestic mountains of Arosa.
The expectant Duchess was spotted walking "gingerly up the steps to the church . . . she was being very careful in her heels," a source told PEOPLE over the weekend. Prince William served as an usher at the lavish ceremony.
In other royal news, Queen Elizabeth II was hospitalized on Sunday after experiencing stomach pains, the palace said. [via CNN] "A decision was taken on medical advice to take her from Windsor to hospital," according to a palace spokesperson. The 86-year-old is expected to stay at King Edward VII's Hospital for two days. Hey LiLo, Charlie Sheen Wants To Help Posted: 03 Mar 2013 09:12 AM PST Presenting Charlie Sheen, mentor? Over the weekend, the 47-year-old told TMZ that he wants to extend a helping hand to Lindsay Lohan, who's been facing what seems to be an endless list of court troubles. "I have a kinship with somebody who clearly needs a mentor, whether she wants one or not," Sheen said. "She can continue to hang out with our dress shredding club buddies, or turn to me for some advice from a guy who's been down the road as well as every other side trail on the journey.” "If she listens, she'll win. If she doesn't, that's on her." Lohan already received some help from Sheen after the two worked on Scary Movie 5, out in April. According to TMZ, Sheen wrote a $100,000 check to cover some of the Mean Girls star's tax bill last year. The 26-year-old actress is also set to guest star on Sheen's Anger Management this season. In the latest Lohan/court news, judge James Dabney called the star's lawyer Mark Heller "incompetent to practice law in California" last week, and dismissed a request to delay her trial, according to the Associated Press. Lohan is scheduled to appear in court again on Mar. 18. What do you think of Charlie Sheen's message for LiLo? Do you think he can help her? Weigh in below. |

Watch: Kevin Hart Channels Quvenzhane Wallis, Recalls First ‘SNL’ Audition Posted: 03 Mar 2013 01:08 PM PST Kevin Hart did what he does best on Saturday Night Live: comedy, comedy, comedy. So it only made sense that the 32-year-old funnyman went right into stand-up for his opening monologue, recalling a run-in with a homeless guy who was after his sandwich at Panera Bread. Then came the impressions. "Back in the day, I actually auditioned for SNL. True story people. I didn't get it, no, they passed on me, which I'm fine about now . . . I just feel like I gave a great audition," he said, before delivering his versions of basketball great Avery Johnson, Robert De Niro and Denzel Washington. "The reason why I chose [Denzel], I'm black, he's black, it was the perfect combination," said Hart.
The evening was packed with spot-on sketches, live and pre-taped ("Is it a Z shirt?"), but the highlight of the show came by way of Oscar nominee Quvenzhane Wallis.
Or, Hart's version of the 9-year-old movie star. Wolf Blitzer (played by Jason Sudeikis) chats with a correspondent for The Situation Room (Cecily Strong) about the selection for a new pope before the two are interrupted by a smoke signal, indicating that the Cardinals have made a decision — in Wallis. "Quvenzhane Wallis is of course the first African American, first female and first child pope," Strong announces, as Hart appears on screen in the actress's Oscar dress (puppy purse included). Hart's composure is briefly interrupted on "Weekend Update with Seth Meyers," in the pair's edition of "Really With Seth and Kevin." Hart also channels his inner zombie in a tribute to The Walking Dead. After his character gets bitten, the conversation gets a bit sensitive for the new zombie. "We're not racist," Taran Killam says. "It just seemed like you were turning into a zombie." Justin Timberlake will host and serve as musical guest on Mar. 9. What did you think of Kevin Hart on SNL last night? Weigh in below. |

Gwyneth Paltrow: I Should’ve Worn A Bra (PHOTOS) Posted: 02 Mar 2013 11:39 AM PST Going without a bra means running the risk of committing a fashion faux pas. Gwyneth Paltrow confessed her biggest fashion regrets on her website Goop on Friday. The 40-year-old Academy Award winner wasn’t so kind to her past fashion choices. Specifically, Paltrow pointed out her gothic-inspired Alexander McQueen gown that she wore to the 2002 Oscars. “I still love the dress but I should have worn a bra,” she said. “Also I should have just had simple be achy hair and less makeup.” Paltrow also noted that she wore a silver Calvin Klein dress at the 2000 Oscars “because I wanted to disappear that year.” But it wasn’t all negative self-criticism for the mother of two. She did highlight her favorite looks from the past. “Standouts for me are the pink Prada dress at the 2011 Venice Film Festival, and of course the white Tom Ford from the Oscars last year.” What has been your favorite Paltrow red carpet look? Weigh in below. |

Adrienne Maloof Fired From ‘RHOBH’ Posted: 03 Mar 2013 01:08 PM PST A day after Celebuzz confirmed that Camille Grammer won't be returning to Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a source close to the production tell us it’s a wrap for Adrienne Maloof, as well. Following Maloof's absence from Friday’s reunion taping and Grammer’s exit from the series, our source tells us that Bravo has not invited Maloof back for Season 4. Maloof’s spokesperson and a Bravo rep declined to comment. While our source says that Bravo effectively fired the housewife, E!Online's sources tell the site that Maloof and Bravo mutually agreed on her departure from the series. As we previously reported, sources say Maloof – a castmember since the series' inaugural season – didn't attend the reunion due to worries that she'll be forced to speak on subjects that are off-limits as part of her divorce to plastic surgeon Paul Nassif. E!'s sources also say that Maloof feared that costar Brandi Glanville wouldn't be able to avoid speaking about her family and children during the reunion – both of which are supposed to be off the table in her Bravo and divorce agreements. This season, Maloof found herself at odds with Glanville after the former model revealed a family secret on-camera. Though Bravo edited the statement out of the aired episode, reports spread that Glanville revealed that Maloof had her children via surrogacy. While Maloof and Nassif seem to be quite a united pair this season so far, Bravo has teased that their divorce will be an upcoming storyline on the show. Do you think Bravo made the right decision by letting go of Adrienne? |
