The Best Gay And Lesbian Couples on TV Posted: 26 Mar 2013 12:06 PM PDT With shows like Girls, Go On and The New Normal, television has hit its all-time high of gay, bisexual and transgender characters. Hollywood bringing homosexuality into the homes across the country is not altogether new, considering the same-sex themes that played out on the small screen in such still-beloved hits as Will & Grace, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Six Feet Under. But in recent years, series have shone a brighter spotlight on same-sex couples, from Grey’s Anatomy‘s wedding lesbian couple Callie Torres and Arizona Robbins to Modern Family‘s child-rearing fathers, Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Scott Tucker. While it may not have been any calculated campaign, television has certainly had a hand in bringing gay into the country’s consciousness, raising awareness and even acceptance of homosexuality amongst Americans. Now the Supreme Court is tackling two cases on the matter of gay marriage: the constitutionality of Proposition 8, the California ballot initiative that bans same-sex marriage, and a challenge to the Defense of Marriage Act, a federal law that defines marriage as the union of a man and woman. So as the nation awaits a ruling, Celebuzz is taking a look at 10 same-sex TV couples that prove all people deserve the right to wed whomever they please. |
Bieber Investigated For Battery Posted: 26 Mar 2013 01:29 PM PDT The Biebs can’t catch a break. Justin Bieber has been accused of battery by a neighbor at his Calabasas, Calif. home Tuesday morning, LAPD spokesperson Steve Whitmore confirmed to Celebuzz. The “Believe” singer got into a verbal argument with a male neighbor that escalated into a physical fight just after 9 AM, Whitmore added. The neighbor told deputies that Bieber had threatened him after he complained about loud parties at the home while the singer was away on tour. “At this stage our investigations are on-going and nobody has been charged,” Whitmore said. "Our detectives are currently investigating allegations of a misdemeanor battery and some threats – we can confirm that Mr. Bieber was home at the time. TMZ‘s sources are refuting reports and claiming that Bieber “did not have any physical contact with the man.” Bieber is due in Munich, Germany on March 28 for the next stop of his Believe World Tour. The 19-year-old has had a tough past few months. Between being kicked out of a Paris hotel after claims of bad behavior to verbally attacking a photographer in London, the singer has been plagued with a string of recent drama. Are you shocked to hear of the latest Bieber woes? Weigh in below.

Gretchen Gears Up For Bikini Season Posted: 26 Mar 2013 11:37 AM PDT The O.C. is ready for the sand and surf. The Real Housewives of Orange County star Gretchen Rossi is fired up about the warm weather as she strips down to a rhinestone-studded nude two-piece during a recent beachside photo shoot for her upcoming bikini line, Gretchen Christine for LUXE. Already a successful entrepreneur of a cosmetics collection and handbag line, the 35-year-old is expanding her empire by launching her first swimwear collection.

Posted: 26 Mar 2013 11:00 AM PDT The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Kelly Osbourne looked like a spitting image of her father, rocker Ozzy Osbourne, while out and about in Warsaw, Poland on Tuesday. The Fashion Police host — who is in Warsaw for a photoshoot — accessorized her all-black ensemble with Ozzy-esque round sunglasses, an oversized cross and a sleek center part in what appeared to be an ode to her father’s signature style.
Were it not for her straight lavender strands, the 28-year-old might have been mistaken for a younger Ozzy while taking in the city’s historic sights with fiancé Matthew Mosshart. This is the star’s first trip since suffering from a seizure on March 7 while filming her hit E! show. After spending five days in a Los Angeles hospital, Osbourne has been given the go-ahead to resume her hectic work schedule — much to the delight of Osbourne’s co-host Joan Rivers, who took to Twitter to express her support.
What do you think about Osbourne’s Ozzy-like look? Would you ever take style cues from your dad? Dish in the comments below. |
Posted: 26 Mar 2013 12:27 PM PDT The Voice is back and better than ever. I consider being a part of The Voice family akin to being in the mob: Once you’re in, you’re in. I will always be a fan of the show and consider it a privilege to tune in and cheer the new contestants on. Now my run on The Voice was uneven at best, but I'd like to think I have some idea of what everyone on that stage is going through… so here are some of my thoughts on the best moments from Monday's premiere. Best New Coach. Usher is charming, but Shakira is my new BFF. She’s witty and adorable in a smart-but-non-threatening way. She's someone I would love to take to coffee (we could talk what hair products she uses and how I can get my hips not to lie). While I miss the unpredictability of CeeLo Green and Christina Aguilera (and their unique fashion choices), I am fully on board with the new coaches. Cool as a Cucumber Award. The way Judith Hill commanded the stage was effortless (and her performance was well worth the amount of buzz that preceded it). Her voice is flexible and textured, and her range is ridiculous. I never really won my battle against nerves on The Voice, so I'm hugely impressed when someone comes out as calm, centered and in control as Judith. Is it the best we'll see this season? Who knows. But, she's a natural star who is clearly on the verge of something BIG. If I was a betting man, I'd bet Adam Levine is clearing a place for his Season 4 trophy now. Best Underage Performance. I'm usually unnerved by underage performers on reality singing competitions. It can read a little Toddlers & Tiaras for me, but Danielle Bradbery was fantastic. She has a great voice, is cute as a button and seems to be very sweet and well adjusted. It was also a relief to see an age appropriate outfit onstage. So many young female performers are over-sexualized, but her look was fresh and youthful. Kudos to the wardrobe department for that, and congratulations to Blake Shelton for winning this gem. Best TWINSIES. I was a little confused by the The Morgan Twins at first glance. Here were two grown women in matching dresses, hair and makeup. It screamed "novelty act" to me, but they defied my expectations. Adam called it correctly when he said, "That's DNA." There was clearly some sisterly ESP at play when these twins matched their runs and tone so precisely. Plus, as Blake eloquently stated, "This is a dream come true for most men." Yay men! Best & Worst Dancing. Blake Shelton – hands down. His victory dances were terrible and wonderful at the same time. Producers – give us more of this, please (and could someone please make me a meme of Blake's country moonwalk? Thanks!). Most Confusing Moment. I found the bird call demonstrated by Janetza Miranda to be 50 percent adorable and 50 percent horrifying (and I found her family 100% entertaining! Please come back!). Most Hilarious Flub. This goes to Usher for saying "Nashville is a state." I highly recommend he respond to any criticism of his geography skills by putting a leg up and replying with two words – "Justin Bieber." Biggest "Dust in my eyes" Moment. The heartbreaking backstory of James Irwin's prematurely born daughters was too much for my emotionally fragile state. The first time I saw this I was at The Voice premiere. There I was sitting in a theater surrounded by a couple thousand people trying not sob off all my makeup. No chairs turned, but Shakira reminded James that "Life is full of second & third chances. You should try it again, because you deserve to come back." Word, Shakira. I'm talking about third, fourth and fifth chances here, because if you love what you do you will do it again and again because you HAVE to do it. Voice Lessons Learned This Week • If you can make LMFAO fresh again and inspire me to create the hash tag #WiggleWiggleWiggle, you have WON at life (I'm looking at you, Christian Porter). Leave some of your favorite (or least favorite) moments in the comments, and tune in tonight at 8PM EST as I live-tweet the next episode of The Voice (@katrinapmusic). You can also see me perform the single from my upcoming album tomorrow (Wednesday, March 27) on Hallmark's Home & Family show at 10AM. Posted: 26 Mar 2013 01:20 PM PDT Chris Brown says he’s “eternally grateful and thankful” that Rihanna has forgiven him after he infamously assaulted her in 2009. “I just tried my best to be the best man I could be over the years and just show her how remorseful and sorry I was for the incident and the time was probably the worst part of my life,” he told Ryan Seacrest Tuesday morning. “Being that she has [forgiven me] and she’s a wonderful person, I’m eternally grateful and thankful.” “People are entitled to their opinions,” he continued. “I can’t go around blaming. Being at that young age, I can tell you I was arrogant and definitely hotheaded.” And while Brown’s widely reported anger issues haven’t seem to subsided over the last few years, he claims he’s a changed man.
“I’m cool. I’m happy. I’m focused. I’m a lot calmer,” he said. “Everyone has anger issues and days they don’t feel like being bothered. Sometimes it comes off the wrong way. I’m learning how to deal with it and how to channel that into my music.” In other Brown news, the singer is readying his upcoming album X. “X is about life, it’s about me,” he said. “X is the 24th letter of the alphabet, and I’ll be 24 when it comes out. When you see X on a vial, it’s like forbidden fruit. For me, it means being able to express myself without a filter, without boundaries.” The album’s first single, “Fine China,” will drop April 1. Have you forgiven Brown for the 2009 incident like Rihanna has? Weigh in below. |
Gisele Heats Up Costa Rica In Itsy-Bitsy Bikini Posted: 26 Mar 2013 01:20 PM PDT Gisele Bundchen gives supermodel — and supermom — a whole new meaning. The stunning 32-year-old showed off her enviable post-baby body just three months after giving birth during a recent family getaway to Costa Rica. The Brazilian beauty, who’s married to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, looked statuesque in a two-piece lavender bikini as she held onto her newest bundle of joy, 3-month-old Vivian Lake. Also on the tropical vacation: The couple’s first child together, Benjamin, 2; and 5-year-old son, John, with ex-girlfriend actress Bridget Moynahan.
Bundchen is just one of many Hollywood hotties who managed to get back into speedy shape after exiting the delivery room. Check out more incredible post-baby bodies in the gallery, above. |

10 Things You Need To Know About ‘The Host’ Posted: 26 Mar 2013 10:26 AM PDT So you’re excited about The Host, which opens in theaters March 29th, but are you prepared for the new sci-fi romantic thriller based on the best-selling novel by Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight Saga? To get you current with everything you need to know about The Host, here’s our list of 10 Things You Should Know about this upcoming blockbuster.
10.Max Irons is an acting prodigy. The hunky star of The Host is the son of Jeremy Irons – one of the most respected actors in the world, and an Oscar winner. 9.Fans are excited at near Twilight-Saga-levels for this movie. Witness. 8. Star Saoirse Ronan was the seventh youngest person ever nominated for an Academy Award – she received that honor in 2007 for the movie Atonement. 7.There will be plenty of eye-candy. Irons and Jake Abel not your thing? Don't worry, the host has plenty of beautiful people to look at, including Diane Kruger who plays the unrelenting Seeker, and the distinguished William Hurt as Uncle Jeb. 6.It's not Twilight – and that's OK. The world Stephenie Meyer has created in The Host is a distant but not unfamiliar future. There are no Edwards or Bellas here, but rather people just like us forced to make difficult, important decisions in a time of great crisis. 5.Director Andrew Niccol has worked on some very cool sci-fi films in the past. The New Zealander's directorial resume includes cult-classic Gattaca and the underrated In Time. 4.This is how an alien invasion could actually happen. We've never believed too much in the idea of giant spaceships crash landing on Earth and wiping out everyone but Tom Cruise. But The Host offers a somehow more plausible scenario – with super-intelligent aliens taking a non-violent approach to world domination. 3.The stars of The Host have connected with fans. The actors in this film know that if you're going to be in a movie based on the first post-Twilight book by Stephenie Meyer, you're going to have a built-in fan base waiting to meet you at every turn. Ronan, Abel and Irons have answered the call, and shown that they care about those who will help make this movie a phenomenon. 2.When this movie opens, people are going to want a Lotus. The metallic Lotus Evora driven by the seekers has created all kinds of buzz – and with good reason as they are legit cool and help give the movie its futuristic feel. And of course, the #1 thing you need to know about The Host… 1.It opens in theaters everywhere this Friday, March 29th. |

13 Celebrity Tricks To Get You Through A Rough Day Posted: 26 Mar 2013 01:20 PM PDT Even Hollywood has its bad days, whether it's related to work, a trailing paparazzi van or a troubled relationship. But instead of pouting and complaining about their bumpy times, some stars turn to exercise, while others write about their feelings and issues until they feel better. "To me, it's just writing songs the way I always have. It's me sitting on my bed feeling pain I didn't understand, writing a song, and understanding it better," Taylor Swift told ELLE earlier this year. "It's just something I do to feel better."
For Ben Affleck, it's all about hanging out with his wife Jennifer Garner and their three kids. Following a grueling awards season, Affleck told Us Weekly that he's been able to "sit back and kind of just take it in and not do anything, just eat ice cream on the couch." Need more tips? Celebuzz has collected 13 remedies to get you through any rough day, according to the stars: Meditate. Put that cellphone away. Do some pilates. Or yoga. Eat some ice cream. Write, write, write. Talk to a friend or two. Or hang out with your family. Knit. Take a quick nap, if you can. Eat good food. Try some relaxation oil. Hit the beach (or somewhere that resembles sand and sun). Did we miss any remedies you swear by? Share how you get through a rough day below. |

Kim’s Pregnancy Motto: ‘Happy Mom, Happy Baby’ Posted: 26 Mar 2013 01:20 PM PDT Kim Kardashian is turning a deaf ear on her haters. Ever since taking her pregnancy public around the New Year, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has come under fire for her maternity style, especially for sticking to her sky-high stilettos. “Kourtney [Kardashian] warned me that when you become a mom or you become pregnant, there will be this whole new group of critics that will criticize you for everything you do,” Kardashian said Tuesday on Good Morning America of advice from her older sister, who is mother to two, son Mason, 3, and daughter, 8 months. “If I wear one color of clothes, I'm in this kind of mood, they think,” explained Kardashian, who paired a pale pink, lace long sleeve with a pleated leather skirt on the morning show. “Or if I wear heels, it's harmful.” But the E! reality star — who is expecting her first child with beau Kanye West — isn’t letting the headline-hitting bashing phase her. “My theory is, happy mom, happy baby,” she said. “So whatever makes me feel good, I want to wear. And I love wearing heels. I'm trying the flats, we'll see…. [But] they actually hurt my back.” But beyond a little back ache as of late, Kardashian says pregnancy has been mostly smooth sailing so far. "I feel really good,” she explained. “I have so much energy, I'm not tired, I haven't had morning sickness, so I feel really lucky about that." Despite nearing her third trimester, the mom-to-be is still hitting the pavement for her career, including promoting her first foray into feature films with her starring role in Tyler Perry‘s TEMPTATION. "It was really fun. It was really different than, you know, the shooting the reality show that I do,” she said of the drama, which hits theaters Friday. “Working with Tyler was just amazing. He makes you feel makes you feel really confident…. I loved doing it. I want to do more.” But Kardashian can’t personally relate to the plotline, which chronicles a married woman battling her desire to betray her husband. Though she loves “how Tyler really flips the script and kind of puts temptation…on the woman,” it’s not a problem that plagues that her high-profile relationship with West. "I think no matter what relationship you're in, there's just temptation being around the business. But as long as you really just have a strong relationship and you make that a priority, you don't really have to give into the temptations,” she reasoned. “Now I always say the grass isn't greener on the other side — it's greener where you water it." Do you think Kim Kardashian has been nailing maternity style? Weigh in below. |
This Birthday Girl Doesn’t Play By Hollywood’s Fashion Rules Posted: 26 Mar 2013 08:29 AM PDT Happy birthday to Keira Knightley! The Brit beauty turns 28 today, and we’re honoring the occasion with a tribute to her sexy-sweet style. Unlike many other young starlets, Knightley is known more for her on-screen roles than for her off-screen antics. But the witty star has still managed to make an impression with her sometimes ladylike, sometimes daring, sometimes grungy, but always chic, off-screen style. And while she’s doesn’t fit the part of the traditional Hollywood bombshell, the Anna Karenina star has still managed to become one of Hollywood’s sexiest leading ladies — despite her so-called shortcomings. In 2012, Knightley made waves — and gave hope to less-endowed women everywhere — when she posed topless on the cover of Allure magazine, later telling talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she’s quite “happy” with her small breasts. Her modern spin on classic English style and her model-like figure have earned her fans in the fashion world too. Even Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld has taken note of the 5'7″ starlet.
Already the face of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle fragrance, Lagerfeld recently tapped Knightley to portray fashion icon Coco Chanel in his new short film to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the fashion house. So in honor of Knightley’s birthday, we’re taking a look back at her sexy-sweet style over the years. Which of Keira’s red carpet looks is your favorite? Share your picks in the comments below. |

Peek Inside Cher’s $1.8M Beach Retreat Posted: 25 Mar 2013 08:15 PM PDT Life’s no longer a beach for pop icon Cher. But it will be for one lucky homeowner. The iconic singer is selling her 1,800 square-foot beachside home in Venice that’s just steps away from Main Street and the hip Abbot Kinney neighborhood, according to Trulia. The three-bedroom abode features three bathrooms, a completely remodeled kitchen and what every beach house needs — a rooftop deck with ocean views complete with a built-in BBQ and fridge. The home’s outdoor space is surrounded by thatched bamboo for ultimate privacy and is perfect for entertaining, watching the waves, or having a California cookout. Cher’s legendary flair for style is featured throughout the property, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls and modern touches to the fixtures and furnishings. The 66-year-old originally purchased the home in May 2010 for $1.54 million, which pales in comparison to the sprawling $45 million Malibu estate the Burlesque star has been trying to unload since 2009. Click on the gallery above to check out the rest of Cher’s Venice, Calif. pad.
