| ‘Mad Men’ Does Hawaii, Holiday Soirees And Shots Posted: 02 Apr 2013 11:31 AM PDT  Mad Men is right around the corner — close enough to almost taste the cocktails, smell the cigarette smoke and hear Don Draper’s soothing speak. The award-winning period drama will return for its long-anticipated second to last season this Sunday. As fans wait with baited breath, AMC is giving a sneak peek at what’s to come for the gang. According to the 10 newly-released photos, Mad Men takes on the holiday season in the opening of season 6. Don (Jon Hamm) and Megan Draper (Jessica Paré) soak up sun during a getaway to Hawaii, where they flaunt their affections while lounging by the shore. The pair return with a golden glow to a winter-chilled New York City, where Don swills some drink with business partners Roger Sterling (John Slattery) and Pete Campbell (Vincent Kartheiser) during a holiday soiree in the seasonally-decorated Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce offices. And of course, Joan Harris (Christina Hendricks) is there, shooting off her ice stare into the distance. Online reported Monday that superstars Beyonce Knowles and Andre 3000 are re-teaming to record a duet of the late Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black.” The song will be featured on the soundtrack for The Great Gatsby, which is being spearheaded by Knowles’ rapper-husband, Jay-Z. “It’s a very different take on ‘Back to Black,’” a source from Interscope Records said Monday.
Knowles and Andre 3000 previously collaborated on “Party.” He was replaced J. Cole in the video version of the song, to much less of an effect. (Sorry, B.) The Great Gatsby premieres at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15. Listen to the original version of Winehouse’s “Back to Black,” below. |

The Canadian pop star made headlines this week for all the wrong reasons when he allegedly spat on his neighbor after an early morning ride in his Ferrari. But behind closed doors the Biebs wants his life to embody the more serene and calming elements of feng shui, says the superstar’s neighbor, who got a visit from the singer when he was interested in buying her house.
“His broker said he practiced feng shui,” Esther Evanheim told Celebuzz. But apparently her home wasn’t quite Zen enough for the pop star, so he splashed out $6.5 million on the perfect digs just a few houses away. “He loved the house, but it was not was he was looking for,” she said. “He wanted to have a view in the backyard. He wanted open space and movement. I’ve read up on Feng Shui and when you enter a house you need an air flow and different things. “I believe he wanted more ways of the water and greenery.” The ancient Chinese practice — which means wind water — involves the arranging of objects and numbers to promote health, harmony and prosperity. And it’s often used in homes to create tranquility between man-made elements and the natural environment through architecture, design and the spacial flow of furnishings. Who knew J-Biebs was so deep? Biebs’ neighbor says the “Boyfriend” singer has been remodeling his 9,000 square-foot home that he purchased a year ago in the gated Calabasas, Calif., neighborhood for a couple of months now. Selena Gomez‘s ex has been trying to improve the positive energy throughout the mansion that boasts six bedrooms, an outdoor pool, spa, sauna, a separate guest house and a private movie theater, plus a wine cellar. So does this mean he’s still striving for happiness and fortune with some assistance from his interior designers? Let’s hope so, because it could come in handy. First she fell back into the arms of her Ukranian heavyweight boxer beau Wladimir Klitschko. Then the rumormill suggested the pair is secretly engaged. Now she has babies on the brain. “I feel like I was born to be a mother,” Panettiere says in the May issue of Glamour magazine, adding that “it wouldn’t shock” her if Klitschko ends up the father of her children. “Motherhood is the most beautiful, exciting thing, and there’s nothing that I feel like I can’t accomplish while having children in my life.” Though she doesn’t “really have a plan,” the Nashvillestar “would sacrifice having more years of being wherever I want whenever I want for years with my kids.” After staying lip-sealed for some time, Panettiere is ready to acknowledge her rekindled romance. “I think it’s pretty obvious,” she says. “I'm not going to deny it.” The pair made no secret of their rekindled romance last week as they locked lips at the Heat-Bobcats NBA matchup in in Miami, Fla. | Joey Lawrence Takes Some Tips From Dick Clark Posted: 31 Mar 2013 10:44 PM PDT  ABC’s new celebrity diving competition Splash had 90s heartthrob Joey Lawrence researching some of television’s greatest hosts. This isn’t Lawrence’s first time hosting a competition show (remember TLC’s Master of Dance?), but this time around he’s approaching the job in a new way. And he’s definitely getting inspiration from some familiar faces. “For me, my job is to allow the people that are taking this crazy journey to tell their story,” Lawrence says of his role as host. He isn’t looking to be the star of the competition and he doesn’t claim to be the best host out there. It’s that modesty that drove Lawrence to learn a lesson or two from one of the best the television business has never had. “I think that Dick Clark taught me to let everyone scream around you,” the 36-year-old says. He talks about developing a “calm confidence” as a television personality. In the end, it’s about connecting with the audience and really talking to them for Lawrence. “Even in the midst of Times Square with a billion people and the ball dropping,” Lawrence says, “you can hear the energy in Dick Clark’s voice, but he’s never screaming at you.” Luckily he has the help of seasoned ESPN reporter Charissa Thompson, though it’s having fun when the cameras aren’t rolling that Lawrence is most chatty about. “We spend most of our rehearsal time quoting lines from Christmas Vacation and Top Gun,” Lawrence laughs, “and all of the movies that we grew up with.” But if you think Lawrence took the job to become the next Ryan Seacrest, then you’d be wrong. “The personal stories of triumph are really what make this show.” explains Lawrence. The show’s celebrity contestants face obstacles that include age, weight, height and even one with a clinically diagnosed fear of heights. He stresses that despite the competition aspect, everyone is a winner. In his opinion, overcoming obstacles and fears is a huge part of what makes this show great. “Hearing the list of people they had involved and what they were going through,” Lawrence says, “I thought it was engaging television and something I’d like to be a part of.” Splash airs Tuesdays at 8PM on ABC. |

Time still hasn't healed the rift between former BFF's Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney. The last time the two were in a room together, it was nearly a bloodbath. Why won't Vicki and Tamra kiss and make up already? After the way the two left their relationship once the reunion episode ended, it was obvious to say they wouldn't have a spa day consisting of braiding each other's hair over international coffee. Even though both Vicki and Tamra claimed they would not reach out to the other, the two just couldn't stop focusing on each other during tonight's entire episode! While Tamra was out shopping with new bestie Gretchen Rossi, all Tamra talked about was the vicious email Vicki sent her, and her refusal to send the insurance mogul her best regarding the birth of her first grandchild. Meanwhile, Vicki claimed, "I'm all about renovating right now," but all she kept renovating (besides her new face) over is what would Tamra and Gretchen think about her plastic surgery. | ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Reunion Part 2: Mauricio Umansky’s In The Hot Seat Posted: 01 Apr 2013 11:20 PM PDT  Mauricio Umansky's loyalties are are put to the test and Adrienne Maloof's spousal abuse is under scrutiny on Part 2 of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion special. Part 2 of the reunion show unveiled stunning allegations made against Kyle Richards by Brandi Glanville. Here are some of the jaw-dropping moments from the special. Brandi accuses Kyle of liking when Kim is off the wagon: We’ve heard Brandi say some outrageous things since she debuted on RHOBH, but this takes the cake! The feisty blonde claimed Kyle is happy as a chubby kid in a candy store, when her older sister Kim Richards fails at maintaining her sobriety. Needless to say, an appalled Kyle denied the allegations lobbied at her, but Kim remained mum when asked if she thought Brandi was right. Adrienne's allegations of spousal abuse are questioned: Just like last season with Taylor, the women doubted if Adrienne's claims of being abused for years by ex-husband Paul Nassif were real. Even with photos provided by Adrienne's trusty chef Bernie Guzman, the ladies wondered if this was just another tabloid stunt by Adrienne's team. Paul attends the reunion (sorta): Rumors swirled when word got out that Adrienne wouldn't attend the reunion, because of her divorce agreement with Paul. | Angelina Jolie Opens All-Girls School In Afghanistan Posted: 01 Apr 2013 06:09 PM PDT  We all know Angelina Jolie's global charitable efforts and now everyone's favorite humanitarian, mother and silver screen goddess is making a more permanent mark on the world by opening an all-girls school in Afghanistan, according to E! News. And the Academy Award-winning actress plans to fund the educational institution with profits made from her newly-expanded jewelry collection, Style of Jolie. Jolie, who began her work in 2001 visiting refugees around the world and most recently in Iraq, plans to open the primary school near the capital of Kabul because of its increasing refugee population and high disparity between male and female educational advantages. The existing school currently houses about 300 students and the actress plans to open more educational facilities elsewhere, with 100 percent of the jewelry profits going to her new foundation, The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.
“Beyond enjoying the artistic satisfaction of designing these jewels, we are inspired by knowing our work is also serving the mutual goal of providing for children in need,” Jolie told E! News of the line designed by Robert Procop – and if his name sounds familiar he's the man behind Jolie's $500,000 engagement bling. “The beauty of these creations is matched by the beauty of spirit behind Angelina’s most heartfelt mission — to empower children in crisis,” Procop said. “For me, it’s an honor to have the opportunity to be a part of creating this line with Angie, as we both believe every child has a right to an education,” he added. And the collection's newest pieces are just as close to Jolie's heart as the cause itself. The 37-year-old designed a tablet shape necklace for her husband-to-be, Brad Pitt, which inspired the collection. “These designs are timeless; they reflect her chic sense of style and also feminine strength,” Kam Heskin, the spokesman for the Robert Procop Design Studio, told E!
